Enjoy Pilot's popular FriXion ink in a lean pen body. And a lean tip size! The FriXion Ball Slim has a 0.38 mm tip, perfect for everyday writing as well as the tiny annotations you need to cram into the margins of your textbooks. The svelte clip-less profile lets you pile a bunch of them in your pen case with room to spare for more pens and pencils. You can even hang your pen, by stringing a lanyard through the hole in the knocker.

FriXion ink is a thermosensitive ink that can be erased by rubbing. To erase, use the special rubber “eraser” tip at the top of the pen and watch the ink cleanly disappear.

Interestingly, erased ink reappears at temperatures below 14° F (-10° C). A freezer is cold enough to make this happen. It is like magic ink for adults! Due to the thermosensitive nature of FriXion ink, we advise against using it for mailings, or leaving the written materials in hot cars or in environments that expose them to a lot of friction.

Note: To change the refill, unscrew the transparent grip area to remove it. Pull out the old refill and insert the new refill, ensuring that it is securely held in place. Then, screw the transparent piece back on.

They really mean 0.38mm....

They really mean 0.38mm. I thought it would be thicker like how Pilot V5 says 0.5mm, but thicker on paper. This draws probably 1/3 of the line V5 draws. 0.38mm Apricot Orange is too thin in width and color, it looks like yellowed scratch mark. But it's perfect for a base-sketch. If I mess up, I can erase. I think the invisible waxy build-up is still there though. If you keep writing and erasing on the same exact spot for 3-4 times, it won't write on the build-up. Oddly, other pens like uni-ball or preppy can write with a hint of hesitation, on the invisible build up of Frixion. All in all, I think it was a good buy for me. For my regular office pens, I'll get 0.7mm, which I suspect to be similar to Pilot V5, Platinum Preppy or Pilot Petit 1 in line width.
Love the "erase-ability"...

Love the "erase-ability" of these pens! No marks are left behind. The color is pretty and appears light because the tip is so fine. The fine tips are a bit scratchy for my liking (especially after using fountain pens). But the ability to erase well is what keeps this review up at 4 stars.

These .38mm FriXion Slim Gel pens are my ultimate favorite pen. I love the thin tup and that they are erasable. This apricot orange color is amazing!

I would give this a 4.5, but since I can't, I just went with 5.

These slim pens are aesthetically nice, easy to use, and nice and thin.

Only con I have is that they skip occasionally. It can be a bit annoying. With more use comes less skipping, however.

This particular color, apricot orange, is quite accurate to JetPens' pictures. It is unmistakably orange, but lighter than a traditional orange. Nobody will mistake this for red or yellow. It's a very pretty, very vibrant orange that I love.

The "eraser" on these is very nice, nicer than the "eraser" on the markers. It erases very quickly, easily, and cleanly. I've noticed that it helps to let the ink dry a bit before erasing, however.

Overall, these are nice pens. If they didn't skip, they'd be perfection. However, the convenience of their FriXion qualities outweighs the inconvenience of occasional skips for me. Whether or not you'll like these depends on your priorities.
