These pens are AMAZING!!! I was not expecting the eraser function to work half as well as it did and all the colors (except for the dark green) are really bright and vibrant (I got the 12 pack). Also, the reusable carrying case is quite handy. I recommend anyone considering buying these pens to get them because of their versatility. These pens really work for both art and plain writing. I hope this review helped!

These are extremely cool pens. The colors are bolder than the older frixions and the eraser seems to work better. (I loved the old ones, these are even better!) These are extremely comfortable to write with and I thought I would miss the clip, but I don't really. I hope they come out with 0.5mm ones.

I found out something cool today too. It's not just friction that erases them, heat will too. I wrote on a piece of paper and then tried to print over it with our copy machine and it came out without the writting. This could be a problem in certain situations, but it could also come in handy to know.

Nice packaging. Brown is unusual in a 6 pen set and happens to be one of my favorite colors. Overall the erase-ability of the ink was better than I was expecting while the color density and flow were a little worse than I was hoping for. The black in particular appears washed out but overall much better than the majority of pens out there not to mention the fact that its also erasable.

These are terrific. I'm a Rheumatoid Arthritic and holding a pen can sometimes be painful, however loving writing cursive, especially when a fountain pen. These Pilot FriXion Color-Pencil-Like Erasable Gel Pens move so smoothly that I find it is not necessary to put much pressure on when writing, so yes they are terrific.

Love these pens for my quilting. I can draw/mark lines for cutting and sewing, and when I go to iron, they disappear instantly. So far have not had any issues with the lines reappearing but have mostly used in seaming area, so would not be an issue if they did. LOVE these pens. Going to buy my crafty friends each a set!

I bought the old four pen set that was in a plastic case that wasn't reusable like this one. I haven't bought this new one but the ink in the Frixxon set that I bought wasn't quite as bold and the 0.7mm is a bit too wide for my liking. Also, I don't know what to use this for! It's cool that it has erasable ink but one time my friend wrote something on my assignment. I used the eraser as advertised and it was gone whew! But then I ran out into 30 degree weather with my assignment in my hands and the note my friend wrote on my homework returned! Oh no! This is why it's not reliable enough to use for school and probably work! What to do?

Must be a Pilot error!

I don’t get it! What’s with all the praise for these pens?! I’m a 30-year I.T. professional and use a multitude of colored inks on various projects. These are some of the worst pens I’ve ever used!

I've tried nineteen different colors of the Pilot FriXion Color Pencil-Like Erasable Gel Ink Pens (0.7mm), the 12-Color Set of Pilot's Hi-Tec-C Maica Gel Ink Pens (0.4mm), 12 different colors of the Pentel Slicci Gel Inks (using several Pentel Sliccies 3-Color Multi Pens), and the Morning Glory Mach 3 Roller Ball pens (EXTREMELY pleased).

In regard to the FriXion pens, I’m extremely disappointed. They feel cheaply made, have a “scratchy” feel to them, poor writing consistency (inconsistent lines, even when using a single pen), just an overall poor quality pen, and are definitely not worth $2.15 apiece.

As far as gel ink, I prefer the Pentel Sliccies over either of the two Pilot styles mentioned above. For a 0.38mm, the Morning Glory pens are incredibly smooth ... much smoother than the Pilot’s ... and are $2.00 apiece.

If I could return the FriXion’s, I would in a heartbeat, but since I can’t, I’ll probably put them on eBay!

FYI: 1-star rating was not my choice; I’d go lower!
