I absolutely love having an erasable pen - and these are *truly* some of the best ever. The ink erases completely, leaves no signs or colored smudging, and doesn't wear through or scratch the paper. The ink is very smooth - it doesn't leave dots where you've paused on the paper, like when you begin or end a letter.

These pens are so sweet, they erase very well, you cant even see the ink that was erased, im going to buy tons of them, and thank you JetPens for putting these on here!!!!

I have owned these pens for over 5 years and I absolutely love them. I am an accounting manager and these are the only pens I use when doing my books (the company I work for does books the old-fashion way - no computers). I have found that when there is a little residue after erasing, if I take a regular pencil-type eraser (I use an eraser stick), and go over it, it pretty much gets rid of any marks.

I just got my pens today! yayy! Okay so after using them for a full hour and a half, erasing, and writing I have found out that this is the most reliable erasable pen ever!!! my planner paper is from franklin covey so it is very thin, all of my erasable pens have ripped right through it so I have only been able to use pencil in my planner. Well... let's just say that I now have lots and lots of pen writing in my planner now!
okay now here is my review:

THE CAP:
although there is no eraser on the can you don't need to have the cap on the end because it is a very well balanced pen! although it is a bit of a drawback I have already gotten used to it!

THE GRIP:
The grip on this pen is very nice. not too squishy and not too hard. In my hour and a half of writing with them, my hand does not hurt one bit! so that is a very very big upside to this pen.

THE DESIGN:
the design on this pen is very artistic. beautiful, yet still can pass as an elegant pen suitable for a work enviroment.

THE INK:
the flow of ink on this pen is very very good! it does not get goopy leaving dots at the beggining and ends of letters, and the ink flow is nice. so far it has not stopped once!

THE ERASER:
there is just one word for this: awesome!!!! it doesn't even leave a trace that the ink was left there, and will save me soooo much money in the future for buying erasers!

in all i would recommend this pen to everyoneee! except my enemies, cuz why would i want them to have such an awesome pen?? 5 stars jetpens!

Не самая удобная ручка только исключительно из-за цвета чернил. Так, например, чёрный вообще не насыщенный, ощущение, что в стержне уже заканчиваются чернила и шарик начнает царапать бумагу. Вобщем, не рекомендую.

When I saw this product, I thought it was an answer to my perpetual wish. Well, it is not a bad pen, but there is room for improvement.

Pros:
-It is erasable
-Ink flow is decent.

Cons:
-Probably because the ink is erasable; therefore, it is not as saturated as regular gel pen.
-The ink consumption is relatively quick. I only have it for a month and I use more than half of the ink. I did not use the pen on a daily basis.
-At first, the eraser works great. But as time goes on, it starts to leave black streaks on paper, even after I clean the eraser.
-The position of the eraser is interesting. Since I am used to post my cap, I will need to remove my cap every time I need to erase. Not too convenient if you are as clumsy as me.

All in all, a great idea. I am waiting to see the next generation of Frixion pens!

Fabulous pen! I love it so much, I just stocked up. I love my fountain pens, but honestly this is just so convenient and easy. Erases perfectly in my Levenger planner. Beautiful color, nice ink flow, it's just perfect.

The ink is not black, is gray, and a bit light at that, almost like a #2 pencil, so it beats the purpose of needing an erasable pen. If it were darker (a lot more!), it would be great. In other colors the concept works great.

Also, for being a 0.5mm, the lines are more like 0.7mm. So, this pen is in my opinion a Gray 0.7mm Pen. Or a liquid #2 HB.

The Frixion erasable pens have been favorites of mine for several months now. I was a bit disappointed that this pen does not have the needle-like tip that the .3mm pen has (just a regular pen tip), but this pen writes so smoothly and erases so cleanly I still love it! It definitely writes in dark grey, not black, like most erasable "black" pens. It's still a very dark color and does not bother me one bit, just know what to expect when you get this pen!

I love my FriXion pen and use it all the time for crafting. The black marks easily on my fabrics and then erases away when ironed. It does exactly what it should without a fuss.

this has to be one of the best pens ive written with. the ink flow is good and it vanishes almost magically. pen is comfortable to hold, and grip is nice. reccomended.

Efficient, but I'd recommend the retractable version.

When comparing the two, the retractable version has a much thinner and (in my opinion) comfortable design; the plastic end is firmer, and it doesn't feel as cheap. Although, I can imagine that someone with a larger hand might find this pen to be easier to write with. Another fault is that because the eraser nub is on the bottom, it leaves no place to put the cap. ;;

Interestingly enough, I was able to find this pen at Walmart after purchasing it online. For some reason, the erasing wasn't nearly as efficient as the my other frixion pens.

Great pros and bad cons to these pens.

Everyone admires how I can erase pen, they love it!!

However, the plastic on these pens is VERY breakable, crackable. I've gone through most of my set just in normal use. If you screw the pen together after refilling it just a bit too hard, break. If you push down on the cap a bit too hard, break. These pens are far too expensive to keep breaking like they do.

Another con is that the ink gets used very quickly, seems much more quickly than normal pens.

So, if you go VERY gently on these pens, you will love them. Just buy refills from the beginning so you don't run out of the ink and you'll be fine.

I like these pens with erasable ink and in playing with them my kids and I discovered a few interesting things. When you rub the ink it heats up and "disappears". In reality, the ink turns white. If you try this on dark paper (black, for instance) the text will show up white after you erase it.

If you heat up your writing in some other way, say, by leaving it in a hot car or holding the paper up against a hot light bulb, it will also disappear. So, don't leave any important notes in your car in the sun. But, if you want your notes back, you can put the paper in the freezer. After a while your text will be back again, albeit not quite as dark as before.

My experiences were from about 2 years ago. It may be that the inks have improved. So beware, if the permanence of what you write is important to you, don't use this pen. Be weary of diplomats you hand it to you to sign treaties and that sort of thing :-)

It is a very interesting concept that a gel ink now can be erasable. I did expect the green to be couple shades darker (a forest green instead of grass green), but given that it is an erasable pen, darker color might be hard to erase. The flow is decent, though at time it is not entirely consistent (leaving strokes with green outline and white center). It would be better if the erase is located on the top of the cap, instead of at the end of pen. This is probably why the retractable version is made.

Overall, an interesting experiment, but with room for future improvement!

I really want to like this line of pens; but can't say I do. To me, as other reviewers said, line is too scratchy and not consistent. No typical gel pen glide to it either. Ordered the upgrade from Jet Pens (retractable) and we'll see if that's better.

I am a full time grad student, and Pilot FriXions are perfect for taking notes. You have the bold vibrant colors of a pen, with the erasability of a pencil. Plus, they come in great colors. I especially like my elegant, copper refillable--but you can refill the regular ones, too! Pilot simply makes great pens.

I love this the eraser actually works. It is a little thick even though its a .5mm

My classmate has one and he really likes it. It erases just about perfectly. The only downside is that you have to push hard for the friction to take place therefore making it work.

I really love this pen, the only thing I don't like about it, is that it is a little too dull for violet/ I would have liked it more if it was a little more vibrant.

This is a nice erasable pen, but the ink is not very dark. I would recommend the pencil-like version.

I use this pen for taking class notes, and I love it for that purpose. I really do love to write in pen but am often times forced to write in pencil due to the nature of my classes, so this pen is a winner for me. It erases completely and although the ink is not very dark, that also means it does not bleed or go through the paper. I will be using these pens far into the future!
