This is a nice erasable pen, but the ink is not very dark. I would recommend the pencil-like version.

This is the BEST pen I have ever used. I love the dark charcoal gray color; a little like watercolor. It writes like an effortless gliding, sliding felt tip. I have shoulder problems that get worse when I have to write a lot and this pen really helps. The line is more like a 1.0, so if you want a thinner line, try the .5.

I was diasppointed the colour is dark grey rather than black. While the pen does right very smoothly, (no skipping), the ink runs out very fast. I've only been able to use it for a week and a half taking notes. Erases quite well, and writing is completely gone.

This is not one of my favorite pens - the ink color is kind of a charcoal gray where I like a rich black, and the 0.7 point writes more like a 1.0. I have not tried the 0.5 pens, but if you like a more precise point and a richness of ink color, this probably won't be a good buy for you. The erasableness is very cool, but it wasn't enough to make this a regular on my desk.

One of the best pens I have ever written with!
I'm a lefty and where I have tried all manner of erasable pens, I always get the same results, Smudgy ink on the heel of my hand, and sometimes on the paper too.

The Frixion dries fast and erases better than any other erasable ink pen on the market.

There are two drawbacks. The ink isn't a bold black color, it's more of a charcoal gray.
Also because it's a gel pen the ink goes fast, and there's no gauge to see how far along you are before you run out of ink.

I'm happy to know that they come in colors! And I'm happy to find a place online as crazy about pens as I am!

I picked up a set of these at a local retailer, and am amazed at how smoothly the ink worked, right from the package. Even better, the friction eraser is unbelievable. There *is* in fact a small bit of "eraser junk" but it's nothing like using an ordinary pencil eraser.

Sadly, the local retailer only carries the pen in black. I will definitely be ordering some of the other colors available on the site!
