A breakthrough in writing technology has made available the erasable pen you have always been waiting for. These pens from Pilot erase by friction. The pens have a special rubber end to rub the thermo sensitive ink away with, thus no eraser by-products are produced, yet the ink disappears magnificently (and the rubber never wears out!) The pen writes smoothly, in vibrant colors, and erases without a trace! Best of all, they are made of 76% recycled plastic.

Interestingly enough, the ink in these pens will actually reappear when the temperature reaches below – 10 C (under 14 Fahrenheit). A freezer is sufficiently cold enough to make the ink start to reappear. It is like a magic pen for adults!

Because the ink in this pen is thermo sensitive, we do not advise for it to be left in hot cars, used for mailing, or subjected to a condition that exposes it to a lot of friction.

One of the best pens...

One of the best pens I have ever written with!
I'm a lefty and where I have tried all manner of erasable pens, I always get the same results, Smudgy ink on the heel of my hand, and sometimes on the paper too.

The Frixion dries fast and erases better than any other erasable ink pen on the market.

There are two drawbacks. The ink isn't a bold black color, it's more of a charcoal gray.
Also because it's a gel pen the ink goes fast, and there's no gauge to see how far along you are before you run out of ink.

I'm happy to know that they come in colors! And I'm happy to find a place online as crazy about pens as I am!

This is a nice erasable pen, but the ink is not very dark. I would recommend the pencil-like version.

This is the BEST pen I have ever used. I love the dark charcoal gray color; a little like watercolor. It writes like an effortless gliding, sliding felt tip. I have shoulder problems that get worse when I have to write a lot and this pen really helps. The line is more like a 1.0, so if you want a thinner line, try the .5.

I was diasppointed the colour is dark grey rather than black. While the pen does right very smoothly, (no skipping), the ink runs out very fast. I've only been able to use it for a week and a half taking notes. Erases quite well, and writing is completely gone.
