These new FriXion highlighters come in a lighter florescent ink color, perfect for highlighting in textbooks and over notes.

Imagine the amount of money you would save by using FriXion pens in college. You could write and highlight all over your textbooks and yet erase your marks at the end of the year to sell your book back in like new condition!

These new highlighters from Pilot erase by FRICTION! The highlighters have a special rubber end to rub the thermo sensitive ink away with, thus no eraser by-products are produced, yet your highlights disappear magnificently. Best of all, they are made of 76% recycled plastic. Remember to also check out the FriXion pens!

Interestingly enough, the ink in FriXion pens will actually reappear when the temperature reaches below -10 C (under 14 Fahrenheit). A freezer is sufficiently cold enough to make the ink start to reappear. It is like a magic pen for adults!

Because the ink in FriXion pens are thermo sensitive, we do not advise for them to be left in hot cars, used for mailing, or subjected to a condition that exposes it to a lot of friction.

I bought the green, orange, and blue. I love this highlighter sooo much. If you like those crazy bright colors, then don't buy this. I like the softer duller colors. Also you have to keep your eraser part clean or else when you erase it, it will smudge.

I work in an office where I highlight often- whether articles, papers, forms (to show where to sign), as well as on my calendar- so I may need to make edits/change things throughout the day and week. These highlighters are the best for this! They are not very bright (I purchased pink, orange and yellow), but the fact that I can erase them makes them better than any other highlighter ever. They are also incredibly comfortable. I use them with the frixion pens so that I can edit all the information in my calendars.
You do need to let the ink dry for a few minutes before you go to erase, or it will smudge. and I would recommend using the friction pens with the highlighter since they are similar. Using any other pen can be disastrous (incredibly messy markups). If you do use another pen, make sure to write with it first and then highlight, and use a gel pen. The cheap ballpoint pens in most offices have a hard time writing over this ink.
I will say that I use mine so much I did have to re-order them. I would recommend getting several colors and seeing which you like the most, and then ordering more of your favorite- they don't last very long!!

I LOVE my orange highlighter.

It writes like a champ. It use it the most of any in my set, and yet it hasn't dried out yet. It erases COMPLETELY. I wouldn't settle for anything less. I keep them on my desk in the original plastic package - the erasers stay clean so I haven't had any problem with that.

It is worth taking a peek at your eraser if you carry it around in a purse or backpack. If it has gotten dirty, erase on some scrap paper until it comes clean again. It will smudge your paper if you use it when the eraser is dirty.

I was a little iffy about if it really erased well enough to not see that I made any markings, so I tested it out and WOW! not only is the colour of the ink dark enough to not skip over the text, it really erases! at first I wasn't pressing down hard enough and was a little upset, but if you apply enough force, you can't see the markings at all! :)

This review is from Pilot FriXion Light Fluorescent Ink Erasable Highlighter Pen - Violet
Nice for drawing, but, in my oppinion, is too dark for highlighting anything in pencil or fine pen. It erases very well, and is smoohth.
