The FriXion Point 04 combines Pilot's phenomenally popular FriXion erasable gel ink with a stylish capped pen body and a precise 0.4 mm needle-tip point. Its special thermo-sensitive ink turns invisible when exposed to friction by rubbing it with the special "eraser" built into the end of the pen barrel. The ink disappears cleanly without using up the eraser or creating any dust or smearing.

The ink will also disappear if exposed to other sources of heat or friction, so we advise against using these pens to address envelopes or leaving anything written with them in a hot car. Interestingly though, erased FriXion ink reappears if exposed to temperatures below 14° F (-10° C), like if it is placed in a freezer—it's like magic ink!

I love these pens! They are great to use with my "ever changing" calendar. They erase cleanly. And the tip size is perfect for my small portable calendar.

Great pen when it works. The last two 0.4 mm Red Frixion pens I've bought did make it past half an inch of writing when they seized up.

Though this red pen is very precise in both writing with a needle point, and erasing with the thin cone of frixion rubber; the red ink is too faint for me. A teacher could not use this for grading, because the red is on the light side. Also, the needle point does seem to get clogged sometimes, and not write with a smooth stream. So I personally recommend the frixion nock retractable pens instead.
