Includes: black, blue, and red FriXion inks.

The FriXion Ball 3 multi pen combines three useful FriXion gel inks in one pen body! It features the same beloved thermo-sensitive ink that can be erased by friction, in a knock format to extended and retract each pen tip. The pen has a rubber grip for writing comfort, as well as a spring-loaded clip to secure to your pocket or notebook cover. The special rubber “eraser” tip at the end allows you to erase conveniently without having to retract the pen tip, and the ink erases without a trace! Refills are available.

Interestingly enough, the ink in these pens will actually reappear when the temperature reaches below – 10 C (under 14 Fahrenheit). A freezer is sufficiently cold enough to make the ink start to reappear. It is like a magic pen for adults!

Because the ink in this pen is thermo sensitive, we do not advise for it to be left in hot cars, used for mailing, or subjected to a condition that exposes it to a lot of friction.

Pen dimensions: Approximately 5.7 inches (14.5 cm) long and 0.5 inches (13 mm) in diameter.

These pens are great for someone like me who uses multiple ink colors to track different items, but who makes mistakes! The ability to erase and correct is so very helpful! I do switch to another pen, though, before I sign checks or documents. But this pen is perfect for everything else that I write. It fits in my hand well, and it is a Pilot (SO reliable). I have been using one for over a year in my office and bought a second one for my purse.

My new 'go-to' pen for note taking.

I love having three colors at a time to identify different subjects in my notes without having a mass of pens on my desk.

Also, the ability to erase without smearing or residue means I can use this to write over the top of handouts and lecture slides and correct it later.

As far as the ink: the blue is a dark rich color similar to a rollerball, while the black is closer to a watercolor grey, and the red is a tad disappointing - too light and frequently 'scratching'.
