I got this pen just to play around with another pen for borders, but I wound up using it for lettering and loving it! The mostly stiff but still slightly flexible nib is great for hand lettering and it has amazing line varation. The ink runs smoothly over most surfaces and pencils and blue pencil, and its great for doodling. My only complaint is that I wound up using it up so fast (because I would grab it all the time). Only pen I like better than the pilot fude is my pentel pocket brush!

I kinda love this pen.

I picked this up because I got tired of Micron pens failing, and I never liked them much to begin with. Plus, I have a Pentel Pocket Brush pen that I adore so I thought I'd give this one a go. At 3 bucks, why not.

I purchased this with the Zebra Disposable Brush Pen (Fine), and I just never put the Pilot down for several reasons.

1) The pigment is more durable, and takes erasing better - it is definitely not waterproof!
2) the pen tip is flexible but not mushy

I use it for drawing so I can't tell you what else it does well.

I really like this pen. Good line variation, nice thin line when needed, good solid black, easy to use. Very good when you want to use a brush pen w line variations, but still need to do finer renderings. FYI, I use mostly for inking drawings.

Great little pen. Works well to write on smooth plastic parts as well as on regular paper.

lovely pen, a bit wet and therefore uses up your ink quickly (mine leasted a month and a half of note taking) but bold, thick and tihn black depending on the angle and pressure.
I use them for my kanji practice and inking illustrations - and WOW super smooth, quick drying and a pleasure to write with - furthermore, while it is made of plastic, it doesnt feel cheap, but gives a lovely "wet" flow with enough resistance to feel the tip work.

BUT BEWARNED for i have told yea...
if you push too hard, it will bend and be ruined - or so you tihnk. actually what i loved about thes epens most was that even if i bent the tip - i could still write with it at a different angle - why? well it worked that way too :)

This is fine pen. Extra fine, actually. Not my favorite, but that is more personal preference than due to any shortcoming of the pen itself.

This pen has a great brush tip and goes from ultra fine to nice and wide with pressure. Gives great line variety! I have a sepia one and decided to get one in black as well!

Great pen. Currently my main journal pen.
I love the pilot pocket brush pen, and this is it's perfect compliment.
The Fude-Makase is much better for note taking, but still easy to make sketches in the side margins, and then I can move to the big pocket brush pen if i want to fill in large areas.
Will definitely be buying a lot more of these.
