DescriptionSpecifications
Create beautiful brush lettering easily using Pilot's Fude-Makase brush pen. Due to its hard brush tip, writing is as easy as writing with a regular felt-tip pen. Make your words and drawings more expressive with the tapering lines characteristic of brush strokes. The pen contains water-based dye-based ink, and the ink supply is visible through the water drop-shaped window. Many colors are available, perfect for illustrations and decorative greeting cards.

In the name, "fude" means "brush" in Japanese, and "makase" means "entrust." Trust the Fude-Makase, and your brush writing will turn out exactly the way you want!

I haven't yet used this pen for drawing because I still have a Tombow I'm using, but I've been using it for writing and note taking, and I love it. It doesn't give consistent line variation, but it is still a pleasant pen with which to write. The ink is a very saturated blue color but doesn't bleed through even cheap ruled papers. Definitely recommend!

I was disappointed in these pens, and ended up just using them for everyday stuff around the house. The brush tips are quite small & made of hard felt -- very firm, and they lack the give necessary for the free-flowing style of brush calligraphy that I usually do. Nice pens, just not a good fit for the way I wanted to use them.
