Love the Hi-Tec-C pens...
Love the Hi-Tec-C pens and I love multi-pens...what's not to love? This is my first create your own and after a few minor hiccups I can say that this is a great pen. I have filled it with one 0.5 pencil, three 0.4 colors, and one 0.5 color (I have the Five Color, not the four color listed here). I would recommend that if you're going to buy the empty pen and the refills, fill them all for optimum writing performance. I had originally bought only four, and was constantly running into writing problems. Once I bought the last color and filled the last spot, the writing was so much better.
The 0.5 writes slightly better than the 0.4. The pen's grip could be better, it's not very comfortable for long-term writing. There is a lot of rattling when you shake the pen but not so much when you're writing. The pencil component is nice but the eraser component has bad reviews and I think it's silly to have to click over just to use an eraser so I just use a separate eraser. I don't know if I would use this for every day use, but it's not bad. It also comes in a variety of color and point options so that is a major plus. It also writes really, really well.
PS: I didn't know how to put in the refills and almost broke the pen the first time around before I Googled how to properly do it. Turns out you have to get your fingernail under the top part and pull so it pops off and you can slide the refills in.

What type of refills...
What type of refills do you need for this? I haven't had the first 2 color coleto before... o-o
Or what type of refills work with this? Nice idea, nonetheless!
