I was really excited about getting the 0.25 mm, but it is too thin for me. For
some reason I find this pen hard to write with because of how thin it is;
however, the color works well! I also have the orange .3 mm and I have a really
hard time getting the ink that one to work. If you like a thin, clean, sturdy
pen I would recommend trying the Uni Ball Signo 0.28 or 0.38-they are my
favorite so far

I really liked this pen when I first tried it so I also bought it in the other
colors but 2 of them have stopped working very soon after I got them and the ink
just refused to come out. But I've never had the problem with the 0.4mm so maybe
the 0.25mm is just too thin for the pen to work properly.

This is the pen I have been looking for... it's smoother and a little easier to
write with than the signo bit, and just looks cool. I don't let anyone borrow
them- I keep a few bics in my bag in case someone asks. I am completely obsessed
and about to order one of each color and probably a few more of the blues.

This pen is too thin, try the 0.3mm or 0.4mm. I prepher 0.4mm for 'average'
writing..this is simply too sketchy.

This is the pen to have! The ink flow is marvelous. Consistency is what makes
this pen a must buy. All pilot pens I have always work great. The Line on this
pen is clean and very neat. It doesn't change even on more grainy paper. Great
pen, must buy.

Pilot Hi-Tec-C Gel Ink Pen - 0.4 mm - Basic Colors - 10 Pen Gift Set
These are actually the best pens I have ever used. No doubt. A few months ago, I
bought a 12 set of the Pilot Frixxion pens, and I thought those were amazing,
because they erased, but after time, if you don't use the actual box they give
you, dirt and other sediment sticks to the rubber, leaving a messy eraser mark
when you erase. Then, I saw that one of my friends had a hi-tec-c pen. but it
was .3 and I wrote with it, and wasn't too pleased. I felt that the tip was too
thin. At first I hesitated when I clicked add to cart for this set, but I
trusted the brand, the reviews, and JetPens. Two days later, during the snow
storm in my area, the pens come. I immediately try them, and I fell in love. I
strongly recommend these pens. Although they do not erase, they write like a
pencil, except instead lead coming out, you have great solid colors

Pilot Hi-Tec-C Gel Ink Pen - 0.4 mm - Basic Colors - 10 Pen Gift Set
This is the best pen I have ever used! They have a nice thin tip that I love
because I write small, and they don't break off when I press down on them! I
bought all colors to use when I'm taking notes, and three years later I still
love them(although now I need to buy new ones). They also write super smooth!!

If you are looking for the equivalent(and probably even better version) of the
High tech C try the Uni-Ball Signo DX 0.28mm or the zebra sarasa 0.3 mm. Both
are absolutely fantastic pens in all respects, and are even better because
they're cheaper than the high tech c. Both also come with a grip and do not have
a fragile needle point like the high tech c.

Pilot Hi-Tec-C Gel Ink Pen - 0.3 mm - Basic Colors - Black
I've tried to use the Hi-Tec-C gel pens. They start out really nice, smooth, and
inky. As I continue to write with them, however, the lines become more faint and
eventually I cannot use them at all - I am left with a nearly filled ink
cartridge. ): I've tried my best to revive my pens, and I have not yet been
successful. Maybe it is because I write with more pressure? Or it is because my
pens come from Taiwan? o_O I don't know. But, my Sliccis never do this to me -
so now I use Sliccis exclusively. So 5 in the beginning (because it writes so
well and smooth), a 1 in the end (because it is useless and makes me feel
sadpanda).

Pilot Hi-Tec-C Gel Ink Pen - 0.3 mm - Basic Colors - 10 Pen Gift Set
Great colours. Ink is bright and vivid, and love the fine tip (though some might
find the feeling too "scratchy"). At first, they all wrote like silk. However, I
haven't even used up half the ink and two pens aren't writing any more. I think
the tip gets clogged too easily. Sometimes now, the ink doesn't flow at first,
and you have to scribble a few times to get it flowing. Won't be repurchasing
since there are so many other gel color pens on the market now

Pilot Hi-Tec-C Gel Ink Pen - 0.25 mm - Basic Colors - Black
A good pen, ink can actually be the same or thinner than the 0.18 uni-ball. It
is better for long, straight lines (eg. cross-hatching) than for short, sketchy
ones that the uni-ball is good at. Its ink is much thinner than the Slicci,
which is also 0.25. Sometimes the ink seems to stop flowing and things get a bit
scratchy. Note: this pen is not waterproof, and will bleed strange purplish
tones if exposed to water. The 0.18 uni-ball is waterproof.
Everything has its use, though. I use this pen to write small notes, and for
cross-hatching in comics. It's good at both of those.

Pilot Hi-Tec-C Gel Ink Pen - 0.3 mm - Nature Colors - Apple Green
I bought this pen after being so disappointed by other green inks I had tried
over the years. If you are looking for a thin line and good readability, as well
as interesting color, give this one a try!
Color: Apple green/grass green (about the color of those "add to cart" buttons,
if you mixed the two halves together)
Readability: It's not fluorescent, thank goodness. Good ink, dark enough to read
at a glance.
Scratchiness: It is 0.3 mm, so write on smooth paper with very fine grain.
Otherwise, it works like you expect a Hi-Tec-C to write -- pretty smooth, no
smudges.

Pilot Hi-Tec-C Gel Ink Pen - 0.4 mm - Basic Colors - Blue Black
I have finally found my favorite pen! I had heard all sorts of good things about
the Hi-Tec-C pens, and finally got around to trying them. The 0.4mm Blue Black
pen will be my writing instrument of choice for as long as I can get my hands on
it. It's a precisely fine line in a wonderful shade. I have not had any issues
with the ink skipping, and have found the pen to write wonderfully every time.

Pilot Hi-Tec-C Gel Ink Pen - 0.3 mm - Basic Colors - 10 Pen Gift Set
I bought my first set in 1995 when stationed on Okinawa Japan. They are awesome
for use as drafting, sketching, calligraphy, etc. I bought this set along with
the Yawaragi set in June 2007. I plan to buy the rest within the next couple of
months. I will RECOMMEND these pens to anybody who does paperwork with small
spaces.

Pilot Hi-Tec-C Gel Ink Pen - 0.4 mm - Yawaragi Colors - Usuzumi (Light Sumi Gray)
A Pilot Hi-Tec-C, therefore a great pen. But personally I prefer conical point
pens. Doesn't have an anti sliding rubber, so it is a bit tiring to write with
it.
The color is kind of washed out, I'm not sure if that is the desired effect of
the Yawaragi colors.

Disappearing ink!
This pen writes very nicely and appears to be well designed except for one
killer flaw: the ink is extremely light-sensitive. As part of a lightfastness
test, I tried out a range of inks and writing pens, including this one, on
strips of paper. One test strip went into a window that receives several hours
of sun on sunny days. A duplicate went into a closed drawer.
I was shocked when I peeked a week later, not expecting any changes so early.
None of the other samples had faded yet, but the sample of writing from this pen
was ALMOST GONE. After another week, it had entirely disappeared! (The
duplicate sample in the dark drawer had not changed.) Meanwhile, my other
standard writing pens, also with black or brown dye-based inks, had not faded
noticeably.
Now, this is early March in New England, not known for its powerful sun exposure
anyway, and there were at least as many cloudy days as sunny ones. That ink
disappeared faster than any I have ever seen. I would assume that even in a
normally lit room it would fade so much that documents left out on a desktop
would fade within a week or two. This is not acceptable. The people at Pilot
know what dyes are in its inks and knows that this ink is extremely fugitive,
much more than other dye-based inks. Shame on them!

Pilot Hi-Tec-C Gel Ink Pen - 0.4 mm - Yawaragi Colors - Usuzumi (Light Sumi Gray)
I love the Hi-Tec C pens, and this color is interesting because it looks almost
like graphite on paper - the color is similar to mechanical pencil line.
That being said, it seems less smooth than the standard black or blue, and maybe
because of the lighter shade, it also feels like a thinner line. Compared to the
.4mm blue, this pen writes more like a .3mm.

I love these pens. They used to have the 5 pack in Staples but they have since
disappeared. Thank God for jetpens because I've been looking for them
everywhere!!! I am a med student whose hospital has yet to convert to electronic
medical records and these pens make note writing and pt documentation bearable
:-)
