Pilot's Hi-Tec-C Maica pen has the Hi-Tec-C qualities we've come to rely on, including smooth, non-feathering ink. As a bonus, it's decked out in a jewel-like body. The metallic barrel, which is decorated with an embellished "M" logo, perfectly complements the transparent cap with multi-faceted top. Just like your favorite jewelry, the facets topping the cap bounce light for a sparkly effect. Add even more pizazz by stringing charms through the cap loop. When you're not busy gazing at your pretty pen, you will enjoy the water-based gel ink and the fine tip that is specially designed to ensure smooth writing. The pen comes in many colors, and the name "Maica" encourages you to choose your own "my color" and enjoy!

One of the few pens I enjoy writing with because the flow is consistent, the line is thin but the color is strong though it doesnt bleed through. Great Pen It is worth the money. I will not use a different pen ever. best pen i have ever used

AMAZING pen - one of my go-go gel ink writing implements. However, I prefer the better-flowing 0.4mm to the 0.3mm. However, I would give this a 4.5 stars since I'm buying yet ANOTHER black 0.3mm Maica right now... so I cannot say it isn't great. The limitations are as follows: 1) Scratchy in some instances but not all 2) occasionally skips 3) Fragile tip so it would be of limited use for heavy-pressing writers. Great pen at a great price. Once again, if I could I would give this a 4.5 instead of a 4, but that's sadly not an option. It's a great part of my pen portfolio & I would recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Too scratchy, loud and not black enough.

I must have gotten a bad product. I understand that fine point will be scratchy. But my black, Hi-Tec Maica, 0.3 is way too scratchy. It's loud. Worse, the black is not dark enough. It might be ok for those who have small hand writing or need to write small on notecards and stuff.

I only write with .3mm pens. I have pretty sloppy writing and have a tendency to connect my letters so the thinner the lines, the easier it is for myself or others to read. I've used quiet a few pens and i must say, this pen tops it. Like others have said, it's smooth, bold and easy to write with. It writes with a .3 line but feels thicker - which is great. I wish it had a clip though because i get pretty paranoid of losing it, but i guess that would kill the aesthetic features of it, which by the way, grabs a lot of people's attention when writing in class. I've had a few people in class ask to try it out just because it looked cool and they fell in love with it as well. I say try it out. Worst thing that can happen is it becoming your backup pen ;)
