I've purchased scads of these pens, in the 0.3 and 0.4 tips, and keep buying
them. The colors are excellent, and the tips are very fine, precise, and
smooth. These pens are my favorite for taking margin notes -- the fine tips and
smooth gel ink mean I can write tons of notes even on cheap, pulpy paper.
On one or two occasions, I have had a tip dry out after disuse for several
months. This may account for the negative review. But if it happens, just work
the tip on scrap paper. It will eventually start flowing again and go back to
the normal, smooth operation.
The only drawback I can find is that the ink isn't waterproof -- don't try to
update your Hobonichi with one of these pens during a bath ;-)
