Pilot's Hi-Tec-C Maica pen has the Hi-Tec-C qualities we've come to rely on, including smooth, non-feathering ink. As a bonus, it's decked out in a jewel-like body. The metallic barrel, which is decorated with an embellished "M" logo, perfectly complements the transparent cap with multi-faceted top. Just like your favorite jewelry, the facets topping the cap bounce light for a sparkly effect. Add even more pizazz by stringing charms through the cap loop. When you're not busy gazing at your pretty pen, you will enjoy the water-based gel ink and the fine tip that is specially designed to ensure smooth writing. The pen comes in many colors, and the name "Maica" encourages you to choose your own "my color" and enjoy!

I haven't tried the Hi-Tec C Maica series before, and decided to jump into it and purchased it based on how much I like Pilot's Hi-Tec C series (0.4mm) which I've used for over a decade now. I went with the Blue Black colour since I liked how it was different from the usual blue and black on the market. I'm really glad that I decided to buy this. It has become one of my favourite pens to use! The 0.3mm hit that sweet spot for me. Before this, depending on what I was writing, I found the 0.4mm Hi-tec C to be on the thick side. This was especially the case when I was trying to make notes on the margins. That's no longer the case with this pen. I was able to write my tiny notes on the margins, without having to worry about letters and characters blending together. It writes smoothly, and there was no breakage in ink as well. It always came out to a crisp and clear line. I've now used this pen for a bit over 7 months, and have just put in an order for the entire set! There isn't much of a grip on the plastic barrel, so if your fingertips get a bit sweaty and damp after writing for a long time, you may find that the pen might start to slip a bit, but if you're used to using the regular Hi-Tec C pens, this likely won't bother you much.

I highly recommend the Maica pens to people who love the Hi-Tec C Pens as much as I do! It won't disappoint!

This has the finest point on all of the pens I purchased in the .28-.4 range. The tip is true to size, as are the others, yet for some reason it writes very smoothly and with little effort even managing to go through two part forms.

I'm a little obsessed with blue black ink. I bought a large selection of blue black pens from JetPens to sample. This pen is relatively dark, but not the darkest of the lot. It's tip is like nothing else I've ever used... it's almost like writing with a needle, it's sooo fine, and obviously the line it writes is extremely fine as well... the finest of all the pens I purchased. It is scratchy when I write because of it. I also bought the 0.4 version, and that was just slightly less fine (2nd finest of all I bought, even finer than the other two .38 pens), but less scratchy. The pen itself is beautiful... very elegant looking.

These arrived well before the expected date. I believe they received within four or five days of ordering them. They arrived in perfect condition and work just as I expected. The smoothest pen I have ever written with...and they don't smear!! I also always write small, so the fineness of these pens (I ordered the 0.3) is perfect! Can't say enough good things about it.
