I haven't tried the Hi-Tec...
November 2, 2014
I haven't tried the Hi-Tec C Maica series before, and decided to jump into it
and purchased it based on how much I like Pilot's Hi-Tec C series (0.4mm) which
I've used for over a decade now. I went with the Blue Black colour since I liked
how it was different from the usual blue and black on the market. I'm really
glad that I decided to buy this. It has become one of my favourite pens to use!
The 0.3mm hit that sweet spot for me. Before this, depending on what I was
writing, I found the 0.4mm Hi-tec C to be on the thick side. This was especially
the case when I was trying to make notes on the margins. That's no longer the
case with this pen. I was able to write my tiny notes on the margins, without
having to worry about letters and characters blending together. It writes
smoothly, and there was no breakage in ink as well. It always came out to a
crisp and clear line. I've now used this pen for a bit over 7 months, and have
just put in an order for the entire set! There isn't much of a grip on the
plastic barrel, so if your fingertips get a bit sweaty and damp after writing
for a long time, you may find that the pen might start to slip a bit, but if
you're used to using the regular Hi-Tec C pens, this likely won't bother you
I highly recommend the Maica pens to people who love the Hi-Tec C Pens as much
as I do! It won't disappoint!
