Pilot's Hi-Tec-C Maica pen has the Hi-Tec-C qualities we've come to rely on, including smooth, non-feathering ink. As a bonus, it's decked out in a jewel-like body. The metallic barrel, which is decorated with an embellished "M" logo, perfectly complements the transparent cap with multi-faceted top. Just like your favorite jewelry, the facets topping the cap bounce light for a sparkly effect. Add even more pizazz by stringing charms through the cap loop. When you're not busy gazing at your pretty pen, you will enjoy the water-based gel ink and the fine tip that is specially designed to ensure smooth writing. The pen comes in many colors, and the name "Maica" encourages you to choose your own "my color" and enjoy!

LOVE THIS PEN! I'm always looking for color pens with great ink flow with ink cartridges that actually last. I use this pen regularly and have yet to run into any problems. Also, the blue is not too light and has more of a cerulean tone to it.

I gave this as a gift as part of a pen bouquet. The tops of these are really pretty. Good for having out where people can see.

I've purchased scads of these pens, in the 0.3 and 0.4 tips, and keep buying them. The colors are excellent, and the tips are very fine, precise, and smooth. These pens are my favorite for taking margin notes -- the fine tips and smooth gel ink mean I can write tons of notes even on cheap, pulpy paper.
On one or two occasions, I have had a tip dry out after disuse for several months. This may account for the negative review. But if it happens, just work the tip on scrap paper. It will eventually start flowing again and go back to the normal, smooth operation.
The only drawback I can find is that the ink isn't waterproof -- don't try to update your Hobonichi with one of these pens during a bath ;-)

Awful pen. I've had 0.3 mm pens before and when you have a GOOD pen it doesn't have to feel like you're scratching a hole through the paper.
Even though this pen is full with ink it still has trouble producing saturated lines, and more often than not I end up scratching the paper with the tip.
It's really disappointing since I read a couple good reviews on these pens.
I have the black one as well and it's almost as disappointing, but not as bad as the light blue one.
