I'm starting to understand..., January 19, 2013
I'm starting to understand the love affair people have with the Hi-Tech-C pens.
This is my first one and I've already got a decent crush going on this pen. The
.4 tip is, for me, like the Goldilocks of of pens: not too fat, not too thin,
but juuust right. It's not scratchy at all but the line looks sharper than some
of my .38s.
The only thing I don't care for so much is the slim barrel. When I added this to
my cart I didn't really notice that I'd chosen the Slim Knock so I was a tad
surprised when I first held it. I have medium-ish sized hands and it feels too
small to me. Writing with it for an extended period of time is tiring because
it's smaller and less balanced than many of my other pens. That said, the
rubberized grip is very comfy.
I'll definitely be shopping for more Hi-Tech-Cs in the near future.

I love this version of the hi-tec c. It's a more comfortable pen then the
original, however it runs out of ink very quickly. I have had it about 3 weeks
and already the ink is gone, it makes me sad on the inside. Buy extra ink
refills!!

This review is from Pilot Hi-Tec-C Slim Knock Gel Ink Pen - 0.3 mm - Black
This pen is TINY! I was surprised that it is so much smaller than the normal
pen. It might work out for special uses, such as inside a journal or kept in a
pocket. It isn't what it looks like in the picture. it is 4.75 inches long,
very light, slim. Just a notice to other Jet Pen shoppers!

This review is from Pilot Hi-Tec-C Slim Knock Gel Ink Pen - 0.4 mm - Black
This was part of my first JetPens order!
I love the Hi-Tec-C line (G-Tec-C here in the USA), but am generally not a fan
of capped pens. When I found this pen, I thought I'd found the perfect little
writing instrument for me.. While it is a good pen, it is definitely not my
perfect pen. The ink is smooth, as expected, but the barrel is much smaller than
anticipated. The barrel is approximately the same size as a G-Tec-C without its
cap. However, the Slim Knock feels smaller in diameter than the G-Tec-C (I could
be wrong, though). Additionally, the Slim Knock feels basically weightless to
me (something I don't care for).
Despite the points above, the pen is great for those that are looking for
something compact; the pen would be great for slipping into a small wallet.

This review is from Pilot Hi-Tec-C Slim Knock Gel Ink Pen - 0.3 mm - Blue Black
Pros:
- Good looking, good size for a purse pen
- Writes in a very fine line...when it writes
Cons:
- The clip is way too tight. I tried clipping it to a couple sheets of paper. It
was difficult to get on and left a crease on the paper after I removed it.
- The pen skips a lot. Regular Hi-Tec C's occasionally skip/get clogged, but
this pen was horrible.
- Ink runs out rather quickly, and considering the price of the refill and the
amount of ink you get, there are much better pens you could buy.
- The barrel is really slim, as expected. I didn't mind this, but I imagine that
people with larger hands would find this pen uncomfortable to write with.
Overall, a very disappointing purchase.
