I LOVE this color! Practicing Copperplate with a fairly new Pilot 742 with an FA nib is a joy with this color. You can't go wrong with this ink and this color.

Used this with a Pilot Kakuno [0] and a CON-50 [1] converter, on Muji recycled paper.

This ink is of a gorgeous light blue-gray color. It dries quite fast, and does not feather.

I will definitely get some of the other colors in the series.

Nice, subtle color. I'm not enough of an ink expert to discern why this is premium-priced, however.

Service on my order was, as always, exemplary.

This ink is underrated. If you look online for discussions of Iroshizuku ink, you'll mostly see people talking about Konpeki or other colors. Shinkai is a blue-gray color, so it's not some fancy eyecatching color, sure. But it's one of the nicest variations for blue-black ink. Blue-black tends to be boring, but this blue-gray looks absolutely fantastic. It's a great ink if you need do a lot of business or formal writing, and need something on the blue-black spectrum.

Bought this because I wanted a good blue black color which this line has lacked. The color is exactly what it purports to be. Nothing fancy but if you are looking for a quality blue black, this is the ink for you. Looks good, flows well, no spreading on the paper -- what you would expect from Pilot's premium ink.
