I've never left a review on this site, but this little pen compelled me.

This is going to sound crazy, but this may be my favorite nib of all time. I bought one on a whim on a trip to Tokyo, and didn't even open/ink it until months later, and was blown away. My normal daily carry pens are Pilot/Namiki vanishing points (mostly previous model, but a new one as well) in everything from EF to B, Lamy safari's (mostly EF and F), and a couple of TWSBIs. This pen is FAR superior to any of my Safaris (and I love those pens) and I honestly like the nib better than the VP EF that I got from Richard Binder. It just goes down perfectly, with great feedback, and absolutely no skipping or starting issues. Even the Platinum Balance I bought recently (and also like a great deal) can't claim the same consistency in performance.

I bought two more within 24hours of inking up the first (this time from JetPens), another Fine and a Medium. The second Fine is every bit as great as the first. The Medium is also a very nice pen, but it does have a few starting hiccups, and may need to be tuned a touch.

The absence of a clip doesn't bother me at all, I usually keep them either on my desk or in a roll, and I just pretend I'm using a $700 Nakaya instead of a $20 Pilot. I would be happy to trade almost any of my steel nibbed pens for one of these, I really don't have a single complaint, and will definitely be buying more.

I read a very favorable review of this pen on another site, and so when I saw it here, I decided to order it. Yes, it is marketed as a beginner or child's pen (it has a cute smiling face on the nib). But it lays down a fantastic fine line. It does have a large barrel, but that's not so much of a problem. It's nice to handle. You can use a converter with it, and it takes Namiki cartridges (I put a purple one in mine). I like it better than the Pilot Penmanship.

Excellent nib that glides across the page and produces a line that's not too thick.

This pen writes like a dream right out of the box. Very smooth but not overly wet.
I got this to draw with and it delivers, absolutely no skipping. Also gives a good variety of line weight.
Overall a really solid fountain pen for a cheap cheap price, def recommend for daily writing and sketching.

I bought this as my second fountain pen, because the first one I was given was really bad. The first one was some off brand I have tossed it since then. I was really skeptical of fountain pens because of this, and I was unwilling to spend a lot of money on a new one. With all that said I put in my order and got the con-50 converter a bottle of waterman absolute brown and this pen. I absolutely loved it. I had it for six months before I bought a TWSBI, and I actually like the pilot better. I also have a pilot prera which is the most comfortable writing utensil I have ever used. I only wish I would have bought it with a medium nib instead of a fine, but that has just became a personal preference. If I was to do it all over again I would still buy this pen.

So smooth! I love this nib!

This is a fairly large pen, but very light. The ink flow is a little wet, so you know.

5/5. I've burned through the included ink cartridge. I can't wait to re-fill it!

In my opinion, the best entry level fountain pen out there. The nib is impeccable straight out of the box. Would definitely recommend for any lover of pens.

great little pen for a beginner or someone who tends to passively abuse their writing instruments.
