An absolutely fun and great pen for the price. Perfect for a first timer to
fountain pens or a seasoned writer/artist looking for an expensive daily
writer/sketcher. I have been writing and drawing and I am quite pleased with
how smooth the nib is. It is what I expected from Pilot based on my past
experience with their other pens. The nib is smooth with little to no tooth.
Their is no flex to speak of either. If you're looking for line variation, look
elsewhere. No problems with skipping or start up to speak of. If you have
other Pilots, like the Prera, Penmanship, Plumix, etc, you can swap the nib
and/or feeds to get the writing style/size that you want. Kudos to Pilot for
the cross compatibility. The only thing that may bug some folks is the lack of
a clip. The cap only has a small raised piece of plastic to keep it from
rolling away. I personally don't mind since I'll mostly be using it for
sketching. This is yet another example from Pilot of a solid writer without the
price tag. I have more expensive pens that don't write as smooth as this one
does out of the box. Solid construction, feels good in the hand, writes smooth,

This pen writes smoothly and the green cap adds a bit of additional fun.
Unfortunately, without a clip on the cap, I lost mine at work on day two out of
the box. Knew this was a possibility, in spite of being careful, it slipped out
of my pocket. Thus five points for a nice nib, easy cartridge installation, ink
flow and aesthetics minus a point for omitting a clip on the cap.
