This pen is absolutely great for what I use it for - smooth writing in a large hand on lousy paper. People who complain about too-free flow have a point. If you stop on the paper, you'll get big blots. I really wish Pilot would make a fine or extra-fine version with a bit less aggressive flow. I'd buy several to hoard. I use Noodler's inks, and don't get a bleed-through problem in picadilly notebooks.

This is a well made pen, and Pilot deserves Kudos for including a converter. The medium nib, however, puts out way too much ink to make this a good choice for writing on paper, such as a Red & Black notebook, that my Lamy Safari with an EF nib writes well on.
