Looks great, especially...
Looks great, especially for the low cost. I am noticing a little leakage though. I carry the pen in my purse every day though, so maybe it's getting jiggled around.

This pen is CLASSY. ...
This pen is CLASSY. It's streamlined body and the zig zag design is just gorgeous. I now own 5 of these Pilot Metropolitans! The price point is ridiculous. The medium nib is just fine for my taste (I prefer mediums) and it is perfect for showing off inks that have shading properties. I'm very happy with this purchase and I'm addicted to the Metropolitans. The nib is so, so smooth! Sure, a lot of people complain about the opaque squeeze converter. I'm fine with it. I haven't had issues with filling. Not too many fountain pens at this price point (or the more!) include a converter. Go get one. You know you want to.

I received the pen four...
I received the pen four days (California to Ohio) after ordering it at night. Pen and bottle of ink were well-protected and sent via USPS priority mail.
After flushing and rinsing the pen, I inked it up and wrote a letter. Man, is the nib smooth! I'll have to concentrate on my writing because there is almost no feedback from the paper. People who already have neat writing may have an easier time getting used to the Metropolitan's nib.
The nib writes like my old Sheaffer Imperial 330 as far as width of line is concerned. It's probably a little wetter than the Sheaffer. No worries about ink flow, no matter how fast you write. I prefer a medium nib, so the fact that it didn't write as narrow a line as I expected didn't bother me.
The pen is about 1/4 inch longer than my Sheaffer Imperial 330 and slightly heavier than the plastic-bodied Sheaffer. The only concern I had was the ridge where the cap closes against the body, however the ridge doesn't interfere with my normal grip.
The "sweet spot" is about the same as my Sheaffer, so you don't have to be very picky about holding the pen "just so".
All in all, I'm very happy with the purchase and the quick delivery. I look forward to improving my handwriting with the very smooth nib of this pen.

I can't tell any difference...
I can't tell any difference between this pen and the more expensive Cocoon, and it seems like I'm getting a pricier pen for less. Solid construction, comfortable grip, understated styling, and a fantastic nib that is a joy to write with. This is an incredible bargain.
