A beautiful dusty purple. While not as vibrant as Lamy violet, it is an easier colour to read for several pages.

The ink itself flows fine in both the Plumix and Penmanship, so no complaints there. The color, however is really pale. It's not even when I personally would consider normal saturation. if you're going to use this, use it on a bright white paper so that it has the best chance of being seen. Even on a pale ivory/cream paper I still feel my eyes straining a bit with this one. I'll use up the remaining cartridges, but don't foresee myself purchasing again.

The ink gets easily smeared so you have to be careful and let it have some time to dry.

They work very well in my second Pilot Metropolitan. It's not too light and looks great, even on colored paper.

Superb Ink, superb customer service, superb order processing, superb turnaround & delivery. I clearly think highly of JetPens; and, in this online world, where e-orders are so much more preferable to the old, familiar routine of traipsing through cluttered little stationery stores, and finding out what you came in for--a box of ink--a particular notebook--is not in stock, JetPens is that store where you walk in to their virtual space, and everything you want and need is in stock. Now how good does good get?

These are a vivid true purple that comes out a bit translucent on a page, making it a little hard to read (especially if you write small like I do). The colour is visually appealing but not as practical as a slightly darker tone would be. I do like how easily Pilot cartridges are to clean out and reuse, because the seal is just a disc that flips sideways, making it easy to dump the existing ink and put new stuff in with a dropper.

I've used Namiki cartridges in both my Pilot pens, and although the color is nice, after the cartridge is partly empty the ink seems to stop flowing well and becomes rather sludge-like in the top of the cartridge. Both pens write on the dry side, so this didn't help. Now that I have converters for both pens, I don't think I'll be using these cartridges again. Live and learn!
