I love this pen, It's not my favorite pen. If I use any pressure at all when you write the nib feels slightly unstable. If you write with zero pressure this might be your favorite pen of all time!

I love this pen. It writes beautifully smoothly, no skips or hard starts, with just a hint of feedback - it feels almost bouncy. It's my first Pilot F nib; much, much finer than the European fine nibs I'm used to, but that means it behaves well on all types of paper (unlike fatter nibs which feather more on the printer paper I have to write on for work) and suits my small handwriting well. I was worried a little worried about the positioning of the clip with my slightly non-standard grip, but it's perfectly comfortable. The retraction mechanisms seems to be very robust, and I feel very comfortable sticking the pen in my bag and letting it bump around all day without it accidentally clicking out.

Marvelous! Wonderful!
As a long-time fountain pen user, I oohed & aahed over this pen for years. I found this on Jet Pens at a much lower price than I remember. I bought one with a fine nib that pretty much has become my everyday go-to pen.

I am owning both the matte black and gun metal.

No major difference. Seems the gun metal is just easier to get scratch left on the surface than the matte.

Problem to be one of the first owners: the gun metal's nib cannot suck enough ink up compared to my matte, almost zero ink sucked into the cartridge. Pls check the refill function when you received your vanishing point.

Overall, despite the little disturbance from the malfunctioning cartridge, it's a very nice pen to own.
