Your pencil lines can be cleaner and sharper than ever with the Pilot Neox High-Purity Graphite Pencil Lead. The high quality graphite in the lead has very few impurities, and the bond between the carbon atoms is stronger than ever. The lead also makes use of the lubricating properties of graphite crystal to ensure a smooth writing experience. The results are clear, sharp, dark lines that will glide smoothly across your paper. Multiple lead grades available.
This is the best lead on the market by a long shot. I've used most every lead
made and nothing compares to the buttery smoothness of this lead and,
unbelievable for a lead this soft, the strength of it in mechanical pencils. My
most notorious lead-eater by far is my Rotring 800, a pencil that laughs at
anything softer than an HB. Not only is this lead easily handled by my Pentel
Graphgear 1000 and my Ohto Super Promecha, the Rotring actually is well behaved
with this lead in 4B. No other soft lead has *ever* survived in that Rotring,
so it's high praise indeed. It'll also save you pulling your hair out if that
pencil frustrates you as much as it did me...this lead literally saved that
pencil from becoming a boat anchor.
Neox in 4B in a Pentel Graphgear 1000 is almost, and by almost I mean 99.99%
almost, as nice a writing experience as any high-end fountain pen. It's
honestly that good. Blacker than night, smoother than I can think of a metaphor
to use, it is just one luxury in life that is hard to describe. I'm a dedicated
pen guy, a lover of high quality inks (Pilot Kon Peki, etc.) in very nice
Pelikan, Lamys, Duponts, Montblancs, etc. and this lead in a Pentel Graphgear
can make you not miss ink.
One of life's little pleasures for sure...I hope they never stop producing this
