I don't know why everyone is getting this pencil fairly bad reviews...This pencil works really good! Nice smooth grip, writing is REALLY smooth, and the shaker function works well. Weight distribution could be better. But excellent pencil.

I found this pencil a little after a month ago and this product is just a sloppy form of the pilot 2020 in my opinion. after using this for a few days the shaker function stopped working and the lead broke inside the pencil. The eraser is small aswell. I would just suggest getting the fure fure pilot shaker pencil, much more useful.

well u can find these in the U.S. b/c i bought my mine at target for same price here but with out shipping. it didn't meet my expectations though.

The Pilot Opt looks great in the photo, but in truth, it's maybe not what I had expected.

First of all, I have to say that the shaking function is great. You do have to shake it a bit hard, but it is my first shaking pencil, so I do not know if that is something that always happens or not.

All my friends love to use it, and some people pretend to have lost their own pencils so they can borrow mine. It really is a great writing utensil.

The pencil is quite large in terms of pencil sizes, the barrel is very fat. Also, the barrel is made of plastic, unlike the rest of the pencil, and from three feet away, people can tell the barrel is not real metal unlike other Zebra pencils I bought.

These pencils are available in the U.S. They're called "Pilot neXtage". The shaker is a little more weak than let's say the Pilot Dr. Grip ones; that means you need to shake a little harder to advance the lead. When I first used it, the shaker mechanism jammed a lot, but that changed after using it for a couple weeks. It's great if you like to click your clip and not breaking it off!
