Superb for its prize, this is a handy little FP. Only complaint is that the
green is a bit glaring and do not lend well to reading for long periods.

I really like the color of this pen, but the ink does not flow smoothly - it's
incredibly inconsistent, so I can only give it 3 stars

I ordered this on a Friday and it arrived the following Tuesday - hooray! we
love fast shipping! The pen (in apple green) arrived in great shape - no ink
leakage issues as in other reviews. I haven't checked, but maybe it is an issue
that is related to aircraft pressurization during shipment of overseas orders?
*shrugs*
I like the fact that. while the pen is a miniature, it fits in the hand as a
full sized pen when the cap is put onto the end. The color is great. I ordered a
few other color refills, but it'll be a while before I get into those...

I just got the Apple Green pen today and it only has about 1/4 of the ink left
in it! Looks like the ink had leaked in the cap, so I can only give it 4 stars.
Other than that, I love the color and will most likely be buying the refills
when they are back in stock. I also have the wine red and cobalt blue ones that
I purchased a while back and I've enjoyed writing with them so much that I've
already ordered refills. Overall, a good pen for the variety of colors, if you
can get one with most of the ink still in it!

Received another Apple Green Petit1 pen thanks to JetPens and I LOVE this

June 30, 2008
I ordered 4 of these little pens, and out of the 4 only the Apple Green came all
leaky. I was sad, as the ink was GONE from the barrel. Pretty color though.
I think its an ok fountain pen. It lasts a long time, and I use it all day at
work for 8 hours straight!!
The nib kind of messes up a bit after a while though...the ink all of a sudden
flows too freely, but then it corrects itsself somehow. I'm probably wearing it
out. hehe
Overall I like them!

I think Sam I am 51 was a little harsh.. its true that the ink is poor quality
but the pen itself is remarkably well made, I have 3 of these (red, blue and
black) and have found the nibs to produce a pleasingly steady line with a smooth
ink flow, further more the steel nibs are quiet flexible which makes for a very
nice writing experience.
These pens can actually be converted to an “eye drop filler” set-up very
very easily if you didn’t want to be stuck with the colours pilot offer.. just
wrap a little plumbing tape around the screw thread and fill the handle with the
ink you prefer.
My pens haven’t leaked yet, there not as good as my other pens but I mean.. 5
bucks!!

June 20, 2007
I was walking around a stationary shop the other day (I live in Hong Kong,
China) and I saw one of these and just HAD to have it. It was this color
(Green's my favorite) and I bought a whole bunch of refills. This is a great pen
to start with if you are just beginning collecting: cheap, and so cute! If you
don't collect, I recommend that you just buy ONE actual fountain pen, and
refills in every color. That way, you can find your favorite color and buy a
fountain pen (and maybe more refills!) of it.
But then and again, that's just me.

June 7, 2007
I was wandering around the city when I stumbled upon a Japanese bookstore, and I
decided to have a look around.
I got this pen, and a set of blue-black refills for it.
I started writing with it, and it quickly became my favorite pen. It's cheap
(and small) enough that I can carry it in my jeans pocket, and it hasn't leaked
on me yet. I ran it through with water before switching to the blue-black ink,
and that seems to have worked. The writing is fine and smooth, although it
feathers a bit and bleeds through newsprint/ pulp paperback. If you're going to
write on high-quality stock paper, you'll have very little problem.
I love this pen.

March 24, 2007
I'm a pen freak. Rollerballs and fountain pens are the bane of my existence, so
I saw these little pens and just had to have them.
Right out of the package they're just as adorable as they are on screen, if not
more. They've definitely put a fun twist on the classic sophisticate pen that is
fountain.
But the first time pen meets paper, you realize all you're getting is novelty.
Granted, it is a 5 dollar pen, so you expectation can't be too high, but it
writes like a .94 cent bic ballpoint, which is an absolute travesty for even the
cheapest fountain pen. As I'm writing, I notice that it's feed and filtration
system is closer to that of a ballpoint with an ink chamber, which isn't good or
bad, it's just a note.
The ink is almost transluscent, it's pretty watered down- again, cheap ink, you
can only expect so much.
The moral of the story? You get what you pay for.
It's absolutely adorable, which is the only reason I bought it in the first
place. But if you're a pen aficionado, it's performance is sure to disappoint.
If you're just shopping around and happen to find them adorable, you'll be
getting exactly what you wanted.
