I just received this cutie in the mail, and I love it. It writes really well, I love the color of the ink. Glad I bought some refills. I'd definitely order these again, and I think next order I'll try another color!

Great for travel and journaling. I take this little pen around with me everywhere. It is a small thing, but its still easy to grasp. And the blue black is just a wonderful color. I have nothing but good things to say about this pen. For the price, its just amazing.

I love the look of this little gem. Visually, it's a very attractive pen, and it writes quite smoothly. I also liked the wide range of ink (and pen) colors available, making it just about the perfect low-cost refillable fountain pen.

The problem is that the ink feathers very badly on plain paper. I tried it on watercolor paper, and it does better, but I expect I'll refill the cartridges with a different ink (I really like the blue-black color, though).

I bought just one piece to try out.

The nib is pelleted at the tip and the writing experience is smooth. Nib is sensitive to provide good ink flow.

My pen comes with a fine point and I noticed that it is wider than the fine point of my Lamy AL-Star fountain pen. I expect Japanese nibs to be one size smaller than European nibs, but this Pilot Petit1 nib proves otherwise.

The original Pilot ink that comes with the pen is smooth flowing but exhibits feathering and a high tendency to bleed through writing paper.

The Pilot ink disappoints me. Any ink that needs good quality paper to perform only presents itself as a restriction to me as I cannot always dictate the quality of paper accessible to me.

I bought six additional cartridges (thus seven cartridges in total) and flushed all those ink away. Instead, I bought a bottle of Platinum ink and an injection syringe to fill those emptied cartridges with better performing Platinum ink.

Great pen! Just bought one with the refill pod. Love writing with the smoothness of a fountain pen, and this one's great for that. Add to the mix the small, sleek size, which makes it great for travel, and you have a truly useful pen. Kudos to Pilot!! :)

Pros:
This is one of pilot's most adorable creations! And I love the color. It was seriously small too! I just love it. It writes so smooth, and easily. It's a very lovely looking pen.

Con:
I didn't like the fact that the pen was already loaded with the cartridge. Which can make it leak during shipping, which could be a problem.

P.S.: When writing, if you have a larger hand, like myself, then the pen cap on the other end is a MUST. This pen is seriously Petite indeed. Measuring at 3'1/2 inches, it might slip under your hand.

This is one of the best, easiest to use fountain pens I've ever owned. Better than my Lamy, better than my Ohto, better than my Sheaffer. Now, if only they'd make the same pen, same design, just stretch it out another inch or two for more comfortable use in an adult hand! That would be my dream pen, and pilot would get a LOT of my money if that pen existed. (A pen that size would also mean that the refills last longer - another bonus!)

The pen is quite nice and the blue black is an excellent color, however the ink does "stem", like the leaf. The pen does deplete it's ink reservoir quickly also.

This is the most amazing fountain pen. I have 5 and just interchange all colors. Now, why can't I find a pen this good in the really fancy ones. Doesn't Pilot make a high end, yet with the same ability to write.

I've had a waterman fountain pen along with a couple of others and they would skip and skip. The first time you use this pen it works. It works every time. It's the best!

It's kind of fun to put a different color ink in. You write and slowly the new ink comes in and mixes with the old ink until you have the new color completely.

I love my pen it has taken me about a month to go through my first refill. I like this fountain pen better than the expensive one my mother bought me from Levenger's a few years ago. I think I want to buy a back up I just can't decide on the color.
