Nice little fountain pen. They work great as eye droppers with some silicon grease on the threads. Writes a nice line and handy to have about.

I bought just one piece to try out. The nib is pelleted at the tip and the writing experience is smooth. Nib is sensitive to provide good ink flow. My pen comes with a fine point and I noticed that it is wider than the fine point of my Lamy AL-Star fountain pen. I expect Japanese nibs to be one size smaller than European nibs, but this Pilot Petit1 nib proves otherwise. The original Pilot ink that comes with the pen is smooth flowing but exhibits feathering and a high tendency to bleed through writing paper. The Pilot ink disappoints me. Any ink that needs good quality paper to perform only presents itself as a restriction to me as I cannot always dictate the quality of paper accessible to me. I bought six additional cartridges (thus seven cartridges in total) and flushed all those ink away. Instead, I bought a bottle of Platinum ink and an injection syringe to fill those emptied cartridges with better performing Platinum ink.

Too bad that JetPens no longer carries this color, but I guess that it wasn't selling well. The still have it in three other translucent colors, and in white. In any case these Petit1 pens are amusing, and if you insist on stowing a fountain pen when space is at a premium, they are a good choice. Pilot's idea of a ‘fine’ point would be some other maker's notion of an ‘extra fine’ point, so I find this little pen a good choice for jotting-down mathematical notes. (That may change when I get a Pilot pen with an ‘extra fine’ nib.) I suggest that the Petit1 pens would make nice, inexpensive novelty gifts. Of course, you'll currently have to get them in some other color if you get them from JetPens.

Loving the Petit1 as much as I do, I wanted a pen I could use on a regular basis (keeping it in my pocket, whipping it out to take notes at meetings, grabbing it to complete a crossword on the commute home). The Blue Petit1 Fountain Pen is perfect for these purposes. I hope that Pilot will bring these pens back, or release an even more innovative, miniature fountain pen.

I bought the pen because i wanted a fountain pen, and this was super inexpensive. Goota admit, the pen it pretty good! Ink flow is good and it' not hard to write with.. the only problem is I like thin ink (and I mean, 0.38 thin) and the ink is think with this pen, thus my writing is a lot bigger. Can't complain though, because that's just my own personal preference haha and not due to the pen's functionality, which is great.

An excellent little pen. Inexpensive, feels good in your hand, very good ink flow, and the nib is extremely smooth for what is basically a disposable pen.

Like others have mentioned, the Petit1s are fun little fountain pens to use. They are very smooth in writing and made me want to use a fountain pen again (I hated the fact that most fountain pens I used had to be held a "certain" way or they would skip or get scratchy. I hate that, so I stopped using them and went to gel pens). For me, the ink seems to last a long time and like to sketch with them now and again and have a good amount of black cartridges to keep me happy. The only thing I don't like about them is the ink. To me it's a bit too fluid and bleeds easily (though it may be the paper I used, but meh). I don't they are worth trying to refill the dinky cartridges with a different ink, but should be just kept as something to whip out of your pencil case/handbag/pocket/whatever to grab a quick sketch or note and brighten yours and other people's day! Anyone who sees one wants one too. They're just this: CUTE! ^_^

This is a great little fountain pen. The ink flow (I use a blue/black cartridge) is smooth and consistent and never skips. I've always liked the Pilot Varsity, but this may be even nicer. I also bought a Pilot Prera medium nib and I'm really disappointed in that. The Petit1 is much better, for much less.

This is a nice little fountain pen. The nib is a little wide, but by far the finest nibbed fountain pen I've ever used. It's completely cute, but I don't think I need one in every color. Basically, a good pen but not quite obsession worthy. :)
