I really like the semi-opaque white body. It has a slightly softer feel than the
original Petit1, which was a hard plastic all over; this one is a bit friendlier
to the touch. I ordered one without any ink cartridges, in hopes that my old
Petit1 cartridges would work with it, and they do!

I'm one of those people...,
January 14, 2012
I'm one of those people who tends to carry a bunch of pens. I'd like to say that
it's so that I can always select just the right one for the occasion. Truth is,
so many of them fail when I get the cap off that I'm just hedging my bets when I
carry several. But I do believe that I could confidently reduce my armamentarium
to a single pen by carrying only this one. And whether it's the nib or the ink
or some combination of the two, it's the only pen that works each and every time
on those shiny cash-register receipts you get in some restaurants, the ones that
make you wish you were carrying a Sharpie.
Oh, and if you are looking for a pen that is safe at any angle in a jeans
pocket, this is the one. No spontaneous in-pocket openings so far. I have pens
costing 100 x as much about which I cannot make that claim.

The nib is silky smooth but be-ware if you have a leak the cap can get stained
in a way where it is impossible to clean!

What a cure little pen!...,
August 11, 2011
What a cure little pen! My pen has an allover hard plastic body and came with no
cartridge, like the description stated. I chose to fill it with the Apple Green
Petit cartridge and it writes very well. For a fine nib, which I usually don't
prefer, this is bold. It's a solid pen that never writes too wet or too dry. it
also fits nicely in my hand without the cap on because my hand is small. I would
recommend this to inexpensive fountain pen lovers!

Loved the look of this...,
November 30, 2011
Loved the look of this pen, so my friends and I bought the last 4! When they
came, I was a bit disenchanted because the caps seemed slightly yellower than
the bodies. However, I'm now very happy with mine. All the magic happens when
you put the ink in.
I stuck in a blue-black cartridge, and it was really cool watching the ink
permeate the clear tip and reservoir. With the cap on, it has a pearly,
translucent "ghost" or reverse-X-ray appearance, because only the ink and the
metal nib are opaque. Really, really cool.
Unlike the old Petit1s, this one has tiny nubs on the barrel that help hold the
cap in place, though I've never had an issue with slippage anyway. The font on
the barrel is different - improved, in my opinion.
The Petit1 has always been one of my favorite pens, more than worth its small
price. The cartridges snap in, which makes refilling them with your own ink
pretty safe. These pens are reliable, portable, and cool, and this is my
favorite Petit1 so far.

Beautiful and great quality! Ink flows smoothly. The pen is really cute and
perfectly fit in a pocket. It says F in the nib but writes a little broader than
other Pilot fine fountain pens like Prera. It writes like a Lamy EF. Excellent
for daily use! Now my only hope is that it will last long. And again, super fast
shipping!

This has immediately become my favorite purse pen as it's lightweight, a
pleasure to write with, and the cap closes tightly so I don't have a fear that
it will leak all over my bag. I bought both the white version as well as the
translucent lime green one, and I hope they make more semi opaque versions
because the white just looks extra classy. Highly recommended.

This pen actually looks and feels even better in person than it does in
pictures. For the price it's an absolute steal. The nib writes really smoothly,
and does not leave me wanting for my full sized fountain pens. The cap also
closes tightly, a major must for a truly pocketable item.

I am amazed at how nice this pen writes. We are referring to (at the time of
writing) a pen that costs less than five dollars! The pen inked up quickly when
I loaded the cartridge. While there may not be a lot of flex to the nib, it
writes with an even, smooth line. Posted, it is comfortable in the hand.
If there is a drawback, and it is a minor one at that, it’s that the Petit
take a proprietary cartridge, and a small one at that. So you are going to spend
more on the ink than on the pen. My plan is to convert the Petit to an
eyedropper.
The pen is cute, writes fantastic, and may be more novelty than everyday writer,
but you can’t beat the price for a non-disposable fountain pen.

I LOVE this pen. ive gotten just about all the 'cheap' fountain pens on jetpens
and this is my favorite by far. its not for everyone because its small but i
love the way it writes.
Best 3 bucks you will ever spend on a pen.

cute pen! recently went back to an older one (blue black body) and immediately
noticed it writes more smoothly than my more expensive Platinum Plaisir Medium
FP.
