Nice nib, good flow,...

Nice nib, good flow, but resin body is too light and scratches way too easily at this price point.

For this price, I would expect a more resilient and weighty pen. I think it goes for twenty bucks or less in Japan.

That being said, I like writing with it and use it often with the cap posted. The fine nib is very fine but doesn't gouge paper.

I'm so sad that this pen didn't work out. It is beautiful and wrote beautifully but I've had two pens within the past year and both failed radically. My first pen cracked after only minimal and light use. Jetpens replaced this pen and after a couple of months of light use of the replacement pen the nib and feed fell out of the pen. It is so frustrating that these issues occurred and that both problems created complete failures of the pens - not just cosmetic or reparable problems. It is truly disappointing. :(

These fountain pens are my favourite pens. They're not crazy expensive and easy to use. My hands and arms hurt when I use regular pens (I grip and press too hard). Fountain pens have definitely saved my hands and arms.

My Prera -- maybe not...

My Prera -- maybe not specific Preras that others received -- is one of my three favorite FPs, the other two being vintage Pelikans. I've found it to be sturdy, problem-free, affordable, and a workhorse. FPs, especially the modestly priced ones, can be problematic. It's endemic to the species. So far, though, my Prera has turned in a flawless performance.
