I love this pen, really beautiful with the matching violet nib. One comment -
the cap pulls off and if you use too much force, you can cause ink to fly.
Remove slowly! Awesome, one of my favorites!

This review is from Platinum Plaisir Fountain Pen - Fine 03 Nib - Blue Body
I bought this pen because I loved using the Platinum Preppy, but I wanted
something more sturdy and long lasting. This pen does writes well, just like the
Preppy BUT, as noted by the previous reviewer, "There is a significant
depression around the nib section; when I filled the pen using the converter
there was ink sitting in this depression that I found impossible to remove." I
also ran into that situation and I had ink splatter on my paper when I
inadvertently dropped it. I, too, prefer using a converter with bottled ink and
my resolution was to just fill the pen up half way, remove it from the bottle
and then retract it again so that the ink in the 'depression' would be sucked
back into the converter. There was still some ink left, but it did not splatter
as much initially and then it went away as i continued to use it. I should
really give this 3 stars for the inefficiency, but I give it 4 stars because I
like the feel/weight of the pen and how it writes just as well as the Preppy.

This pen writes well...., May 25, 2011
This review is from Platinum Plaisir Fountain Pen - Fine 03 Nib - Blue Body
This pen writes well. That being said, there were a few design elements that I
found questionable. The finish is almost too smooth to comfortably handle. The
nib section spins freely and slips out rather easily which doesn't seem to
affect the pen's performance, but unsettles me nonetheless. Finally, there is a
significant depression around the nib section; when I filled the pen using the
converter there was ink sitting in this depression that I found impossible to
remove. When I took off the cap at work today, ink splattered my arm. This pen
seems suited for cartridges but not for use with the converter, and I prefer
using bottled ink. In conclusion, the Plaisir has a good nib, but I would not
buy it again.

This review is from Platinum Plaisir Fountain Pen - Fine 03 Nib - Red Body
My first Platinum was the Preppy. I enjoyed the writing experience, but was not
over thrilled with the appearance. This pen is the answer! The red is stunning
and expensive looking. The balance of the pen is perfect for me. The colored the
nib makes my pen extra special. The ink flow is consistent and smooth. This pen
is a steal at the price!

This review is from Platinum Plaisir Fountain Pen - Fine 03 Nib - Red Body
beautiful body, very nice metallic red color; holds well and looks more
expensive than it is.
Nib Swap: I found the PP fine nib on this too 'fine' for my tastes (made me
realize I'm a medium point person!) and I was able to swap out a Medium Preppy
nib for the Fine nib in the Plaisir. I have written a few lines and the nib
from the Preppy is a little scratchy, but over time and with minor adjustments
to make the nib 'wetter' I think it will be perfect.
