I have used the highlighters at work for a couple of years and it's great to re-fill rather throw them away. The colors are bright and are nice and neat to use. I actually use the preppy markers and fountain pen also. Try all 3, for 10.00 bucks you cannot lose and they all work flawlessly.

I finally found a highlighter that works great but doesn't bleed through the paper. Oh yeah it is refillable and you can replace the tips. Eco friendly also.

These highlighters are awesome.
First point of awesomeness: they are refillable
second point of awesomeness: You can replace the tips
third point of awesomeness to complete the trifecta of awesome: They can be turned into an eyedropper fill and the ENTIRE body of the pen can be filled with ink. (Jetpens has a tutorial on this.)

My partner used 3 of these and 2 bottles of ink for her last year and a half of law school instead of going through 4 dozen regular highlighters. We spent close to $75 on highlighters in her first year and a half. After I discovered these we spent about $25.

We liked them so much that I now have one on my desk for my job, and she's still using them at the Court House as a Clerk. We replace them as the attorneys steal them.

I have been using Highlighters since they 1st came out and this one is the best. Refillable, Replacement tips and the price is very fair. Buy with confidence.

Replacable tip. See-through barrel, so you can see the replaceable cartridge. Oh, and less than three bucks. Who could ASK for more in a highlighter?

Wait a minute. Is it just me or has anyone else noticed that it (also) does NOT seem to cause inkjet ink to "run" (and thus also discolor the tip) when you highlight it, like most other highlighters???? Hmm?

THAT ALONE would've clinched this highlighter for me. This is just an excellent, excellent product.

This has saved me so much money. I wish I'd known about it sooner! I'm a student and I was a research assistant, so I'd go through at least 1 highlighter a month. Now, I only have to refill my highlighter each time I run out. I definitely recommend this for students!

I'm not a fan of the actual ink, though. I merely used it until the cartridge was empty and refilled the cartridge with J. Herbin's Diabolo Menthe using a dropper.

I own no less than 8 Preppy Platinum Fluorescent Highlighters in many colors. The Yellow happens to be my personal favorite. If there was a score of 4.75 out of 5 I would have chosen that, b/c the only substantial negative is that it uses the refillable "ink" quickly relative to most highlighters. The up sides are that the color is both bold yet still transparent and extremely smooth. Even though I tend to blow through ink, I do appreciate that they are refillable. The drawback of most Preppy pen products (disposable fountain pens, etc.) is that the caps tend to split, rendering them useless, but so far my highlighters seem to have mostly been spared from this occasional product (outside of one of them). These are great highlighters and I would highly recommend them!

I love it! Ink runs out pretty fast if you highlight on a daily basis. I'm using it as a eye dropper.

Love at first sight not-to-mention use--I love the idea of this pen but...

The cap broke/cracked on mine before I'd even reached for my first refill cartridge.

Why bother to invest in refills if the original product has such a limited useful life?

I have been using pencils and throw away highlighters for over 30 years . This is the best I have ever had the pleasure to own. I bought 4 so far. Lost 2. They were borrowed and never seen again To refill with a cartridge and tip is replaceable. Oh did I mention the price?

I really love these highlighters. And I use them all the time. Let me clarify though I do not use these for textbook highlighting. For the purpose I feel they are too inky. But when I color code my planner and my calendar these are my go to highlighters. They are very vivid and I really like the idea of just popping in a new refill when it runs out. I also like popping on a new tip when it needs it. I think it's sorta more green then others. I haven't had a problem with the casing breaking. I think they're pretty sturdy.

I purchased this item and destroyed the stem of the tip when I tried to insert the ink cartridge. Any tips on doing this successfully? I love the idea of a refillable highlighter, the price is great but I need help! If you haven't tried the Platinum Preppy fountain pen, do so NOW!

I found this to be an excellent highlighter! Much preferred over others I have used.

I loved my highlighter while it lasted, but it was way too easy to over tighten the plastic case and crack it...

I absolutely love these highlighters - the colour & amount of ink released is great (though, obviously, on shiny-finish paper in some of my textbooks, there is a little pool of ink at the beginning/end of a line of highlight, which I blot with paper towel as I go).

However, after having these babies for about two months, I am very disappointed with the quality of plastic used for the casing. Since they are refillable, I would have expected a more durable casing (because it should last throughout replacement of cartridges). Unfortunately, with only home use, two of my highlighters already have cracks in their casing :(

Other than that, they're a pleasure to use.

Runs a bit at the end so I wouldn't use it on thin paper. But the color is great, much lighter than most available highlighters.

I bought the pack and, unlike the previous reviews, so far I am loving them! They are bright enough for my liking and the blue is not as dark as other liquid highlighters (which make the type difficult to see). Plus, I use highlighters like water and being able to buy refills is awesome! They do run a bit in the paper, but it's expected of liquid highlighters, and it is definitely not as bad as the BIC Brite Liner (absolutely NEVER buying them again, even though they are cheap). So far in my opinion they are comparable to the Sharpie Accent Liquid Highlighter, my all-time favorite highlighters! The pack of 5 is a little more expensive to buy then some other brands, but I figure I'll be saving in the long run because the refills are about two dollars for a pack of three. Plus, the environment will probably thank me for not creating as much garbage by tossing out a whole highlighter each time it runs out. Overall, so far, very happy and I would definitely recommend them!!! :D

My new favorite highlighter. I love that you can get refills for it. A must buy!

I was not very impressed with these highlighters because at the end of of every highlighted line was left a "puddle" of fluid. It is as if the flow is too much, too fast.

Unlike the previous reviewer, I find these highlighters to be very different from what I can find in stores because of the refillable feature. I love it that you don't have to throw away the entire pen when it dries out. Very economical too -- especially as one of my co-workers goes through highlighters at an accelerated pace due to leaving the caps off. Bright clear colors, easy to use and refill. Excellent product!

Interesting highlighters, but nothing that different from which you could buy at a local store.

This is an okay product if you're just looking to have a highlighter that works. The tip, since it is able to replaceable, will become loose from time to time. To me, that's fine, and I still enjoy using it.
