The color is a bit light,..., April 5, 2011
The color is a bit light, but it is fine. It writes smooth and not scratchy at
all. Definitely will be buying more colors of this pen in the future!

Smoooooth on decent paper...., September 30, 2010
Smoooooth on decent paper. Very nice cheap fountain pen. The green ink is
perfect: not too dark, not too light.

I had trouble getting..., December 17, 2010
I had trouble getting started as I am using the ink cartridge. Once you get the
ink flowing this is a great everyday pen. Great color (at least for me) and I
would highly recommend this pen.

I just bought this pen..., August 4, 2009
I just bought this pen and am waiting for it to come in the mail. It usually
takes about 1-2 days to get to me and I've ordered many times from jetpens. I
read an article saying you can refill platinum preppy fountain pens with regular
bottled inks by just adding an o-ring to the threads of the barrel. I am
currently in love with the j. herbin and pilot iroshizuku bottled inks and am
waiting on my glass pens and the platinum preppy pens to test them out. I am
definitely looking forward to receiving these pens in the mail. I only wish
bottled inks were cheaper... $22.50 for a bottle of iroshizuku is really taxing
my wallet. overall, great buy though!

The other colors of this..., December 5, 2011
The other colors of this pen are far better. I bought the pen in black and pink
as well, and the other colors are much better. The green is very wet and
lightly colored; I would have preferred a greater saturation of color. I intend
to convert this pen into an eyedropper pen once the ink runs out or perhaps
before because the ink is so poor.
The pen itself is light and ergonomic, well-balanced in weight distribution, and
made of thick plastic with a hexagonal design inside the barrel which seems to
reinforce the structure. My only complaint about the construction of the Preppy
would be the clip, which is loose and shallow; it doesn't grip my pocket enough
to keep itself from falling out.
