The ink in this pen is a bright yellow, slightly orange. I put switched the nib with my fine Preppy and the yellow was practically unreadable, but in the M nib it is very readable even on white paper. The nib writes smoothly. I've been using this pen for the past 2 weeks and it hasn't dried up.

I like the other colors of Preppy's, but I'm not sure why anyone would want yellow ink (it very barely show on white paper).
My other complaint is that this on dried up after only 2 days of installing the cartridge. Yes,
it really did dry up - since the pen is clear and the cartridge is translucent I could see all the ink was gone.
I guess I will now put a brown ink cartridge in (since it is a .03 nib) and hopefully that will last. So I won't have wasted my $3.
