The Platinum Pro-Use is an excellent drafting pencil that will meet your professional needs. It's similar to the Zebra Drafix in terms of body style, but has a heavier weight and nicer grip. The pencil wins aesthetic points for its muted grey lead indicators and glossy black body. Features a fixed sleeve, rubber grip, and cap labeled with pencil lead size.

This pencil is pretty nice but not amazing. The barrel seems to be made of a type of plastic however the eraser cap and front end seems to be made of metal. The overall feeling of the pencil is a bit shaky and the back cap seems to fall off easily. The lead indicator is a piece of loose tape under a plastic bit that can become loose if the front metal end isn't on properly. The clip is pretty cheap but works alright. The mechanism for pushing out the lead is actually really good in contrast and I haven't had any real issues with it. The back part which holds the eraser in place, a little metal bit is extremely easy to bend and break as well. Overall it is functional, just a bit cheap feeling. That is to be expected however for such a low price.

Love the feel and precision, second only to Tikky for me. Nice, moderate friction rubberized grip and excellent vision with the long, fixed lead sleeve.

But I have a quality control issue. The silver ring at the top started popping off every time I pulled the eraser cap, within only a week of purchasing.

This pencil is one of my new favorites. The lead advance is perfect and it writes very smooth. The only thing I don't like is that the dial "lead indicator" is not tighter. It keeps turning every time I write. I also bought one of these in 0.3 and the indicator is perfect and doesn't turn very easily on that one. I like my indicators to stay in one place because I switch my lead a lot. Maybe I just got a bad pencil with a loose dial, I don't know. But other than that, I think it is a pencil that I will be using for years to come! :o)

I've been using these pencils for years, never had a problem . The grip is great nice and not too heavy. I have 9 of these 3 each of the following sizes 0.3mm, 0.5mm, 0.7mm. Wish they made a 0.9mm. By the way I use them mainly for drawing along with 2mm and 3 mm Clutch pencils (carat d'ache long fix pencils).

I love the superior design and quality of all the Platinum drafting pencils. They really did a good job on all of them. The only con I have is the fact that they are labled with the phrase, "Pro-Use," which I find kinda embrassing. However, unless someone is native speaker of English, it probably won't be noticable lol. And, indeed. Originally, these were not intended for sale in the United States.
