Lovely turquoise color, nice heft in the hand, and a reasonable price; comes in a decorative box perfect for a gift. I've also bought ice blue, kiwi, and red colors. I only wish Retro 51 offered a fine point, as I like a little finer point than it comes with. I ordered the Schmidt Short Rollerball Refill (P8126) in fine point. We shall see...

All I can say is, "Where have you been all of my life?!"
I love this pen and am completely terrified that I may lose/destroy/hurt/scratch the surface of the pen, I have it in its own pen stand where I write with it and immediately put it back.
I'll get over it just as I did with the beautiful fountain pens that I have bought on JetPens.
This pen rolled the ink freely and smoothly across the paper.
I've written with the pen on a Maruman Mnemosyne notepad, a scratch pad of recycled printer paper and the Clairfontaine Triomphe note pad and it writes beautifully on each one of them. You wouldn't want to write on both sides of the paper. It doesn't "bleed" through the paper, but you can see what was written.
It felt beautiful on the Clairefontaine Triomphe pad, but I expect no less with that paper.
The blue of the barrel is astounding. I was expecting a turquoise, but this is a deeper blue/green. They named it perfectly as Peacock Blue.
You will not be disappointed with this pen either as your own pen or as a gift.

I love this pen. It has a nice design and a good weight to let you know you're not using a $2.00 pen. The ink cartridge that comes with the pen writes smooth. The only problem I had was with the refill pack. I tried one of the blue ones and it seem to 'bleed' on the paper more often than what came with the pen. I hope it's just a defective one. Otherwise, it's a great everyday pen.
