Fantastic Idea created...
September 16, 2011
Fantastic Idea created by a company strong on quality. The dots offer the same divisibility of graph paper without the lines to get in the way. I use this paper to create Celtic knots. Since it doesn't have lines in it my ideas are very easy to see with noting darker than a .3 mm 2H mechanical pencil line. It is easy to erase and inks well. The paper seems to be the same used in the other notepads in the Rhodia line.

I can't recommend this paper highly enough!!

Great notepad. I've been a fan of the dot grid since the first time I used one. The creases on the cover page is genius. I haven't had issues with bleeding or feathering with any of my pens. It's also a plus that the pages are perforated at the top.

Unique, ingenious design. Its like graph paper without lines. I am artistically inspired every time I use this cool little dot grid notepad; it offers the guidance of graph paper without confining you to a bunch of boxes. Its not just about straight lines either, drawing curves, circles, symmetrical designs, and so on, becomes simple with the unobtrusive lavender dot grid there to help. It works for handwriting too (like those pre-dotted Campus notebooks that everyone loves).
My only complaint is the sizes. There's only this 3 & a quarter by 4 & three-quarter inch size and the 5 & three-quarters by 8 & a quarter inch which is basically A5. But nothing bigger :-( I don't know if that's just what Jetpens carries OR if Rhodia only makes those two small sizes.
Dot grids are so neat, and they seem fairly simple to design, so I wonder why more companies don't make them?
(In my Jetpens dreamworld, Maruman makes a Mnemosyne Dot Grid notebook 8-) and I just bought three 8-) lol don't wake me up yet, I have more imaginary shopping to do... )

Perfect size for a notepad...

Perfect size for a notepad to have in a backpack, but not quite small enough to qualify as a pocket notebook. This fit just the niche I was looking for, just as the Rhodia Pocket Notebook fit its niche. The products compliment each other excellently, and short of notetaking for school, they cover all of the day to day jotting and quick writing I could need. This notepad's paper is stellar, and I've very quickly grown to love dotpads after using this. The perforated edges on this are the icing on the cake.

I got these as small gifts for the office a few years back. Everybody loved them. The perfect size for "just a quick note".

This paper is great, but I was super disappointed in the dots. They are extremely dark and intrusive. I did read somewhere that they have updated the notebook so that the dots aren't so bright, but truthfully, the dots are big and bright enough as to detract from my writing, and I don't appreciate that.

Dotpad in any size is superb alternative to costlier Unlimited or bulkier Webnotepad of similar size. Cover is durable without getting in the way or adding considerably to the cost. Paper is lovely for all inks and fountain pens I've tried. Dot grid is wonderful alternative to solid lines. Thank you, JetPens!
