Rotring Tikky 3 in 1 2 Color Ballpoint Multi Pen + 0.5 mm Pencil - White Body

When I got the pen I was excited until I saw NewellRubermaid (not that their a bad Mfg.) on the box. They have a factory about 2 miles from my home in Maryville Tn. (is it really a Japanese mfg. pen) Im sure NewellRubermaid is a global company though, I'd hate to think I paid 30.00$ for a pen I could have bought in my home town. Pental now makes a replica .05 pencil only (not a combo pen) which can be bought at your local Staples for around 4.00$ each. The finish on the Tikky 3 in 1 pen seamed to dull rather quickly. The mechanical function of the springs are very solid, but the more often then not the pen color or pencil I'm wanting to use does not always come out correctly when I rotate the pen to desired location or writing tool I need at that moment. The feel of the pen is awesome, the ink writes smoothly but not on all paper surfaces (especially my journal or daily planer) Would I purchase this pen again YES but not for 30.00$ I use it daily and work through the small technical issues, maybe with more use it will function more smoothly. I have had it for about 30 days.

Pen looks and feels great. My only problem I cant control the selections of the Pencil, BLK ink, or Red ink. I click and it does not always give me what I want.
