Man, what a disappointment...,
April 10, 2012
Man, what a disappointment :/ The body of this pen is beautiful and brilliantly
made. However, the ink is very bad. when I first got it, it wrote well but it
was scratchy and after about 3 days of writing with it, I always have to
scribble it at least 3 minutes every time for it to even work. After about 3
week, the ink flow just stopped completely. I agree, don't waste your money.

I agree with the other...,

I agree with the other reviewer - the pen housing, ergonomics, etc are great.
But writing with this pen is a huge disappointment. It skips and scratches no
matter how often I use it. I can't rely on it to grab and take a quick note. A
shame considering it's cost. And, no color besides black ink?? There are much
better writing instruments for a lot less, don't waste your money on this one.

A beautiful looking pen...,

A beautiful looking pen that feels very nice in your hand. Unfortunately, it
does not write well, very poor ink flow and takes many scribbles before you can
write with confidence that it won't skip. Save your money - don't waste in on a
pen that you can't trust to write.

Rotring Tikky Liner Gel Ink Pen - 0.5 mm - Black Ink
I'm deeply disappointed. I've been using Rontring pens most of my life, that is
more than 50 years. This christmas I bought a number, I think 5 Rotring Tikky
Liner Gel Ink Pens for myself and my sons. We all experienced, that the pen
somehow "dry out2 after use, and is unale to produce a continous black line
efter some hours rest. You can then use the pen and "warm it up" scribling for
some minutes, and then it will work allright. But I never had thought that this
glorious brand, in my mind always associated to precision and perfection would
have such a flaw. Why is it so?

Rotring Tikky Liner Gel Ink Pen - 0.7 mm - Black Ink
The tikky fine liner . 7 writes like a dream. It feels nice in the hand and is
perfectly balanced with the cap posted. The only thing that I don't like, is the
gripping section. I was anticipating that it'd be soft and pliable from the
description, it is not, it's a hard, molded, textured plastic. Not bad, but again
not what I expected. The pen looks to cost twice as much as i paid for it, which
is a plus. That being said, i don't know why rOtring went with print, which will
wear off, instead of laser engraving on the barrel, like a sharpie stainless
marker. It would've upped the wow factor of this pen. I've read the other
comments about it not writing, this wasn't my case. Perhaps rOtring refined the
ink, or maybe it's the .5 and below. I'll order some of those refills when my .7
runs out to be certain.
