This adorable cheap pen...

This adorable cheap pen is still a workhorse instead of a novelty, has a screw cap, comes with a cartridge, and won't weigh down your bag. The Japanese have a sensibility for cuteness that I love, and they combine it with quality and durability even at the lowest end, which shows a respect for a masses and those who cannot afford luxury-end pens.

I worried that the f/m nib would be too wide, but it is hardly different than the Neo pen I bought along with it for the same price. This is a smooth firm ef nib (in Western terms). I also love the subtle star on the cap and the etched anchor on the nib. I might be back for more, but the black and white Holstein is a standout and will get noticed.

After trying to use this...

After trying to use this pen over and over again, it just doesn't seem to write good. I did get it for the design as it is adorable. But the nib is very scratchy. I do not recomend it. If you want a beginner fountain pen, get a pilot kakuno. Way way better <3
