I'm currently using this converter with the AS Manhattaner's pen I purchased. The converter fits well, and sits nicely in the pen. I write quite a lot, and the the reservoir lasts me about two days each refill. Though the first time I used the converter I did accidentally unscrew the reservoir from the rest of the converter when I was trying to refill. When you refill this one, remember to hold onto the metal bit and the plastic bit so that the metal doesn't unscrew from the plastic by accident like I did. The design is simple, just twist the end to move the plunger up and down the reservoir to create a suction to push or pull the ink.

I bought two and they work great! No problems at all. I use (mostly) Diamine ink and Aurora's Black in it. I use this converter with the Sailor Desk Pen.

The Sailor converter works perfectly for me. Unlike with some of my converters by other brands; I do not get any air bubbles when filling with ink. More ink, less air equals less frequent refills.

This thing holds very little ink. Furthermore, it makes a weak connection to the pen causing a leakage in between the converter and the pen. Because of the not-so-tight connection, I dipped the converter itself in a bottle of ink, and lifted the piston-fill mechanism. It filled about a quarter of the way, I then inverted it then attached it to the pen. If anyone has any advice on how to use this thing, please post. Otherwise, I'd stick to refilling the cartridge that came with the Sailor Recruit using a needle+syringe that you can buy for 35 cents at your local drugstore.

I agree with the previous poster. I ordered one and have found that i cant use it for the sailor slim fountain pen i own because there is not a good fit between the converter and the pen nib. Very sad. Guess i will resort to what most of the other people are doing and reuse the one that is currently in the pen.
