This smooth-flowing ink is specifically formulated to be safe for all fountain pens. Each bottle contains 50 ml of water-based dye ink. The bottle is cleverly designed with an internal reservoir, allowing you to enjoy every last drop of your fountain pen ink. In normal bottles, as you approach depleting ink reservoirs it gets more and more difficult to suck up ink. Each of these ink bottles easily solves that problem with a simple plastic tube in the bottle. When the ink level gets low, tighten the bottle cap, flip the bottle upside down, and then flip it right side up. Atmospheric pressure causes the ink level in the tube to remain higher than in the rest of the bottle, allowing you to fill your fountain pen with ease.

This is a lovely ink..., May 24, 2011

This is a lovely ink colour well worth the, more or less, premium price. The bottle has a great design, it holds a good amount of ink, and it utilizes the "ink reservoir" type system that Pilot uses, to get the full value out of the bottle. The ink itself is a very nice colour, not your typical red or crimson at all. It really does look like the juice of the pomegranate fruit it is named for, and when used in a wet writer or flexible pen, it carries a golden sheen in areas where the ink pools. A very unique ink!

Jet Pens - First off, thanks for carrying this ink! But I would've loved to have bought the new Jentle Apricot and Epinard colours as well, so please do pick them up in the near future!

The shading in this ink..., July 16, 2011

The shading in this ink is apparent even with the finest point. I have my Sailor Reglus Industrial Revolution fountain pen with a fine point currently filled up with this ink. The ink gives lovely shading with this pen. I am sure if you are of a broader point persuasion the color would look even better. I highly recommend this ink brand and particularly this color. It is my favorite Sailor Jentle color, even over the Epinard.

This review is from Sailor Fountain Pen Nano Ink - 50 ml Bottle - Ultra Black
This is the best black ink I've ever used. Beats Mont Blanc, Noodler's, Parker, Lamy.
Extremely black. Smooth. Doesn't bleed. Doesn't clog. Works well with all papers and pens I've tried.
This ink makes me curious about the science of how ink is designed. Whatever they did, they designed one great ink.

This review is from Sailor Fountain Pen Nano Ink - 50 ml Bottle - Ultra Black
An outstanding ink. Works perfectly in all of my pens, from a broad-nibbed Montblanc Diplomat to an extra-fine-nibbed Pilot. Dries quickly, and is permanent and truly water-resistant on good paper. Not quite as intense a black as Herbin's Perle, or Aurora; but is deep enough, in a midnight charcoal sort of way. This ink is far more refined and less prone to smearing than Noodler's so-called "bulletproof" black, which looks harsh and vulgar by comparison. The only thing wrong with Sailor Nano Ultra Black is that it is so bloody expensive. Still, that won't prevent me from buying it again, as it is by far the best permanent black ink I have ever used.

Ordered the ink despite it being a little more expensive than the other inks. Filled a fine nib Sailor candy fountain pen with it, and the ink has a nice expressive quality to the fine lines. It may not be as dark as Noodler's, but more water resistant for watercolor washes. Overall I would reccomend the ink.
