I may just have found...

I may just have found my perfect purple. It's very dark, but still clearly purple except in a very dim light. I've tried it so far in a Parker 45 and a Lamy 2000, and love the rich, but sober color. It might not be right if you want something flashy, but it's exactly what I was looking for.

Also, although the listing says "water resistance: none", by my test it's very water resistant indeed. Under a heavy soaking it just blurred very slightly, but didn't run.

Another beautiful ink...

Another beautiful ink in this Four Season's line. It doesn't sheen as much as Yama-dori, but it is gorgeous and rich. Like the other Sailor inks it's very lubricated and flows freely from even my most dry stubborn nibs. I highly recommend if you're looking for a nice dark purple with slight sheen and wet properties.

Love Sailor
What a great color. ...

What a great color. Very deep, dark , regal purple. Works for personal or business writing. Sailor changed in the formulation of their inks and they messes up a good thing. I've been a dedicated sailor ink user for years now. I love the blue, mixed it with blue black to make my own custom blue black, the ultramarine was a big favorite. These new sailor inks are highly saturated, and smooth writing. But they clog up your nib and feed like no ink I have ever seen. I've put it in all my best, most reliable pens, Montblanc, Pelikan, levenger, waterman, Pilot. The list goes on and the result is always the same. If you let your pen sit overnight or longer you will have a difficult time starting up again. The longer you leave the ink in the pen, the worse it gets. I'm really disappointed in sailor. In one quick move they have robbed me of my favorite inks. I've taken this stuff out of all my pens. Not taking any chances.

Love this ink, exactly...

Love this ink, exactly what I was looking for. Dark purple, easily mistaken for black in my use (which is what I hoped for). Always smooth, starts reliably whether my pen (a cheap Lamy) has sat for a couple minutes or a full week. This might be the only ink I ever buy!
