DescriptionSpecificationsQuestions & Answers
This brush pen was designed by Sailor under the supervision of popular Japanese calligrapher Ryofuka to be both stylish and comfortable to use. The curved grip section makes it easy to hold the pen in the recommended position, about 3 cm up from the tip. Its water-based pigment ink flows smoothly and consistently from the felt tip, which provides excellent control and line variation. The Fude Nagomi pens are available in two types: the Standard Models, which feature body colors inspired by the nature of Japan, and the Ryofuka Models, which feature pink and red-toned body colors selected by Ryofuka herself. Each pen includes a pamphlet featuring calligraphy tips and examples from Ryofuka, demonstrating proper sweeping strokes and tapers.

This Ryofuka Model brush pen features an attractive pink design.

Oh boy do I love this pen!!!!!!
The ink quality is really great -- very black. The nib is very firm so it's not the first thing that comes to mind when you think "brush pen" but it's exactly what I wanted as I have a very unsteady hand and can't control soft brushes very well.
You can still get great line variation even with this firmer tip though.
The body is easy and comfortable to hold and feels very nice quality. The pink is such a nice colour and goes well with my other pink pens/stationery.
I highly recommend this pen!!!!

This feels a bit thicker than what I'd consider 'extra fine' but it's not bad at all. The design is super cute and feminine with it's pearlescent pink barrel and silver writing, and using it makes me feel ultra trendy and girl. As far as the pen itself goes, it's high quality ink that's copic-proof. That caught be my surprise, honestly. I scrubbed at the ink with a marker and it didn't budge. No smearing or anything.

As far as 'brush pen' goes though... Nah. This isn't a brush pen. The nib is completely stiff and has absolutely no yield. This feels more like a higher quality Sharpie. Which isn't a bad thing, mind you.

This brush pen writes like a felt tip pen. It also splatters a bit if I'm not careful when I write with it. It is really fun to draw with, but I definitely wouldn't call this extra fine. I am really picky about thickness and I'd personally call this something in between fine and medium (but I like a really really fine tip, so to others who prefer thicker pens, this might be extra fine). I wouldn't recommend this for writing notes, but I use it to write in my planner and it is perfect for that.

hard to tell it is a brush tip- might as well just use a sharpie. nice to write with none the less, but didn't seem extra special. ink is very opaque.
