This is a beautiful pen....
This is a beautiful pen. Writes very smooth and I like how thick it is making it comfortable to hold and write with. However, in all truthfulness, although the pen is great, I gave it only 4 stars because I don't think it's worth $50. It is a very light-weight plastic pen and while aesthetically appealing, it's price is a little too hefty in my mind.

The pen is excellent,...
The pen is excellent, really. It writes very well and has this very crisp, scratchy sound when you write with it that I very much enjoy. The Japanese MF nib is very agreeable. Oddly enough, it writes better on note cards which makes it a very nice pen to take notes with. The problem I have with it, leaving me to give it a 3 star review, is the problem with leaking. For whatever reason, this is the leakiest pen I have ever used. Maybe it is just mine, or maybe it comes from the fact that I use cartridges with it, but it leaks heavily at random points. While I do enjoy using the pen, it is frustrating to take it to and from somewhere and have the cap and body be dotted with ink.
Without the leaking, and a better price (since its mostly plastic), this is a 5 star pen, and very very good for a starter level fountain pen. Just be wary of the problems it may have.
