I should knock this review down a point for false advertising. This isn't a brush pen by any stretch of the imagination--there's no flex to the nib at all. I'm guessing it's a plastic tip, though I'm not willing to cover my fingers in ink to find out. However, plastic tips happen to be a favorite of mine and this one performs very nicely. Nice even ink flow with no skipping or catching, a happy medium between smooth and rough, as pretty much comes with the territory of plastic tips. If you're looking for a brush pen you'll be disappointed, but if you're interested in a nice fine pen to detail your brush pen drawings, this is a solid option.

I love these pens for illustration and comic book work. Unlike most brush pens, the points are very hard. The line is similar to that of an old school Hunt School nib. They take some getting used to, but are well worth it. Line is a sort of "medium fine".

Really nice pen for the price. The nib is similar to a normal felt tip pen since it's so fine, but it does flex a little to allow for some line variation. It's fun, different and great for both drawing or writing.

This is a SUPER fine tip, as the name suggests. I wouldn't quite call it a brush pen, but it's fantastic for what it is. The ink is very black, and it writes more smoothly than any of my other brush pens. If you want a fine-tipped pen with a little bit of line variation, get this pen. You won't regret it.

Nice dark ink that flows well. I'd argue that the super fine description is inaccurate. Medium fine would be more apt. I'll be buying more of these going forward.

Using these for inks/drawing, not writing.

I thought it was going to have more flex, it's more like a felt-tip pen (like a micron), but the ink flows nicely and doesn't feel dry or bleed ink on the paper.

For some reason I thought the tip would have been a bit softer, but it's very firm. Great for writing, but don't use it with water. I didn't test it out at first and when my page got wet it began to bleed T_T The ink runs out fast also, but over all I love the control I have over the pen.

Summary: Better for drawing fine details than for writing.
When used for writing (even at less than "normal" writing speed), the ink streaks....plus the super-fine tip sometimes makes an irritating SQUEAK against the paper. It's like nails on a chalkboard, or like writing with a metal nib fountain pen without any ink in it.
For drawing fine lines and details, it gets the job done, but there are better fine/super-fine tip brush pens sold here for about the same price. I like to make tiny detailed drawings in my little notebook when I'm bored or just playing around with ideas--and this pen works for non-serious things like that. But I cannot recommend Sailor Pocket Brush Pen (Super Fine) for anything professional.

It has fine black ink and it's lines are reasonable for drawing
