absolutely beautiful pen. Works wonderfully writes smooth without needing to be primed. Materials are high quality, the finish doesn't chip or wear out. I have fountain pens made by Waterman, Cross, and Schaeffer and this Sailor out performs them. Only downfall was that this pen does not come with a converter so if you use bottled ink you will have to buy the converter, but I cannot dock the pen's quality for that.

Beautiful pen!! looks just like the pictures, blue really stands out in the sun light. i use this pen as an everyday tool for school (college). It writes very well, is not scratchy, and does not skip. I leave it open during small breaks in class and it starts right back up no problems. I am using black sailor ink with it. The fine tip is comparable to a .5 needle point pen. excellent pen would recommend to anyone!!!

Just amazing! the black is more of a pearlescent black very nice, pictures do it no justice. As far as writing its just amazing! thin clean line no bleeding. Not scratchy at all for being such a small nib. This is my first sailor pen and I am by far pleased with it in every way! Highly recommend if you want a fine line and a pleasant looking pen!

This is my everyday pen. The Fine point is still a very smooth writer. I filled it with the Sailor Jentle Grenade ink and it gives such wonderful shading with this ink. I couldn't have found a better pen or a better ink. I highly recommend this pen to people who love fine point fountain pens but, hate the scratch. I also suggest ordering the Sailor Jentle Grenade with this pen (the Epinard is lovely but, I can't attest to what it looks like with this pen, yet).

I've owned this pen for over a year and I've had trouble with it since month 1. I've tried my best to accommodate it, but not a week goes by when the nib becomes scratchy and the ink does not flow smoothly. I'd suggest not buying this pen, despite how beautiful it looks

Outstanding! This pen writes better than it looks (and it looks darn good!). Fine point doesn't scratch, ink flows perfectly, cap clicks on nicely, etc... Really good looking pen that writes well, and is worth the price.

This is one beautiful fountain pen. Excellant quality. The nib inked up beautifully right out of the box with the Sailor ink converter. I filled it with Sailor Black Nano ink. Fine precise cursive lines. A nice introductory pen for those getting ready to make the leap into the exciting world of fountain pens.

I got little adrenaline rush when I first opened the box :o)
