The first time i used this eraser, i thought "What's so special about it?" then i used it for a while and realized AHA the great thing about this eraser is the low amount of friction caused while erasing. This means that the eraser wont hold onto the paper as much while erasing which means easy erasing, and no accidental paper crumples. Honestly, i think this eraser rivals the uni boxy... Recommended.

So good! And Cheap too! Although I like Pilot products, I have to say this Sakura foam eraser is at least two orders of magnitude better than the Pilot Foam Eraser. Very soft, clumps well, and erases many types of pencil lead with ease. I've used it with 2B, HB, and colored pencil lead. I was worried that the colored pencil lead would "stain" the eraser, but no, it erases the colored lead perfectly well. The performance and the price definitely make this my "Go To" eraser for (hopefully) many years to come.

I completely bought this eraser on a whim, and it turned out being reliably good! There's no mess...well, very little mess, and the clumps don't stick, there's no real residue left on the eraser body either. Surprisingly good buy!

Really liked this eraser.
Much much better than my previous ones.
I like how it erases smoothly and leaves little to no crap after you erase.

I prefer this eraser over the Uni Boxy Eraser. It erases flawlessly and does not have that 'powdery' feel. I appreciate it comes in different sizes as well. Great product for students of all levels.

It does everything it...

It does everything it advertises to! It lifts the pencil right off the page with minimal effort and minimal waste. I love that it's so light and not rubbery. It's like erasing with a cloud. I love that it doesn't corrode my plastic when I set it up against something in my pen drawer, and I love even more that it doesn't retain the lead all over the eraser, transferring it to other parts of the art when I go to erase. A must-have for any artist's kit, whether you erase tiny details or whole areas. It does dwindle down faster than your average rubber eraser, so be sure to stock up if you like to go eraser-crazy!

It works great on the finest lines, like my .2mm B lead, and even lifts the Pilot Color Eno leads superbly!

Love this little eraser for cleaning up sketches and for kiddo homework! The boy remarked on the fact that it doesn't tear the paper and is really easy to swipe away the bits afterwards.

After bumping around...

After bumping around different areas of my life for a couple of years and rarely getting used due to its disrepair, my Pentel Hi-Polymer eraser desperately needed to be replaced by something better. I looked around JetPens for a suitable winner and came across this Sakura Foam eraser. It's pretty darn good for a student like me that doesn't need any bells and whistles hanging off of his eraser.

It does well if you don't speed over large areas -- it works SO much better if you erase thoroughly in small, similar areas rather than scanning over a large portion of paper (or whatever you're erasing) and erasing all over the place. If you use this technique, the little eraser filaments left behind will be much larger than not taking your time. This eraser has flex, but is very sturdy. It does tend to pick up a little bit of graphite (I tested with HB lead on Kokuyo Campus paper) which will stay on its surface. If you don't like that, just rub your thumb over it a couple of times, it comes right off. Even with a dark shading scale, this eraser shaped up pretty darn well! So far I don't see any upcoming downsides to buying this eraser, except running it out from my fondness of using it !
