This is a terrific Japanese gel pen at a low cost. I love the shade of blue-black; it is very dark, but definitely a shade of blue.

Perfect gel ink pan for lab notebooks. No bleeding, despite pressing hard, on carbon paper. A no frills blue that gets the job done. Can be a bit scratchy on carbon paper, but smooth on all other papers I've used it on.

It seems to work well for about two weeks, but it starts building up excess ink at the tip. Very disappointed.

I really like these pens and this was a nice color.
However, I don't know if it was a defect pen, but the one i got tended to leak. As soon as i opened it, there was a whole mess of ink that gathered at the tip and every time i left it alone for a while, the ink gathered.
